Good location in midtown convenient to theater, shopping. and Times Square.Friendly service by the people who work there.My complaint is that the airlines put my bag on a different flight and it took me till the morning after I stayed there to get it.The bag was delivered in the early Am and the girl working there on Friday May 10th said it was not there she failed to look for it .The delivery service told us it was there my husband made another trip downstairs to get it from the desk.That is pure laziness on the desk clerks part she did not really look at all and she was embarrassed funny thing is the night clerk told me that it would come in the early morning so I knew to go and purchase something to sleep in that night.Marriott you need to get it together on this I am not blaming you for the initial problem that was the airline(Delta)but if you have someones bag and you know they need it well the guest needs to receive it all you have to do is look for it. « less

My frineds had chosen this hotel - and it was great. Impeccable service, quiet and close to everything! THe staff was very helpfull and there was coffee and tea for free the whole day. There is also a little restaurant/bar next door. I like that there are only few rooms on every floor. « less

I stayed in this hotel with my daughter for one night as I needed to get a few errands completed in the city. The staff here is excellent as they were very attentive and a pleasure to speak to. I stored my bags here after I checked out for a few hours and had no problems. The rooms are a bit bare bones, even by NYC standards, but honestly who comes here to stay in their rooms? For the most part, I only had to wait a couple minutes for an elevator and didn't hear any renovation construction going on. I loved staying in Midtown as it was easy to get to my friends and family and would stay here again with a good deal. « less

May need renovations. Bar connected to the property is good and bartender is very nice. Overall nothing great about this property, but it is good enough if there are no other options. « less

Oyster Bay Beach Resort is located on the Dutch side of St. Maarten. The location is beautiful, if a bit remote. It's about a one half hour ride from the airport. Oyster Bay Beach Resort has two restaurants on site and there is a small market outside the gates of the resort. You can get some essentials, but you really need to visit either the Fresh Market or Le Grand Marche if you want to stock your timeshare. As mentioned, the resort is out of the way so you need to either rent a car or be prepared to take taxis. A trip to the market or in to Phillipsburg will cost about $30 round trip; the ride to the airport will be about $30 each way
Oyster Bay Beach Resort is in an absolutely beautiful location. This was our fifth visit to St. Maarten and OBBR was really the most beautiful resort we have visited. Our unit was on the second floor with a balcony overlooking the ocean. Amazing views! There are also units overlooking a marina. The units are comfortable, but could use some TLC. Our refrigerator had rust spots, the mirror in the second bedroom had brown spots on it and the kitchen was minimally stocked with cooking utensils. There is an Infinity pool and the beach is right there. Activities are scheduled for each day and there is a concierge to assist in planning excursions. Thing are very casual and I definitely overpacked.
Housekeeping does a great job and units are clean if not a bit dated. Every staff member we encountered was pleasant and helpful.
If you are looking for a relaxed vacation, I would definitely recommend the Oyster Bay Beach Resort, but certainly do your homework and be prepared to spend some extra money getting around the island. « less
