I was there for the Town Halloween fest. The staff was amazing and friendly and very helpful for any questions. I love the bed, wanted to take it home and would love to find the same kind and buy one. Went swimming every morning and it was so relaxing and clean. Would love to go back. « less

I stayed here on Tuesday, Jan 22nd and was greeted warmly at check in. While watching The Wizard of Oz, (on a DVD player thoughtfully and graciously provided by Melanie) and feeding Missy way too much gummy worms, her poor little stomach decided to let us have a second look at those gummy worms. Yuck, they looked better going in. I let the front desk know and they said "Don't worry, we got it, just enjoy your stay." Very awesome. We swam and had breakfast and at checkout, saw the housekeepers, and let them know of the gummy worms that would not go quietly, and they said "no problem, we got this" Truly a wonderful stay, despite the issue with the gummy worms! Thanks again! You guys Rock! « less

What a pleasant surprise! Clean, spacious rooms, comfortable beds, dependable and fast Internet. This was my second stay and I would definitely recommend the Oak Meadows Inn to anyone. Saint Helens being such a small town, one could be excused for having lowered expectations, but this certainly surpassed what I had expected. The staff is one of the major assets - friendly, helpful, and they even bake cookies for you in the evening! I had a teleconference call scheduled during my stay and noticed that I didn't have a speaker phone in the room. Not wanting to spend an hour or more with a phone handset stuck to my ear, I asked the front desk attendant if they might have a speaker phone somewhere. While it took a bit of scurrying on her part, she did find one for me and seemed genuinely pleased to be able to help. Thanks again Kandy! There is no restaurant on the hotel property, but Saint Helens is not that big, so very good places are convenient enough. Try the Klondike Restaurant in the old part of town - an excellent choice. Breakfast is the typical spread for a mid-level hotel, but the friendliness of the staff, cleanliness of the breakfast room, and constant attention to stocking of food makes this one a cut above the ordinary. If my travels take me back to Saint Helens, this will definitely be my headquarters. « less

We have stayed here ten-plus times over the past few years, while visiting my mother in a nearby extended-care facility. The staff have been very helpful, even to remembering us from a previous stay. This is a typical B/W with adequate, quiet, comfortable rooms. If you need a place to stay on the lower Columbia, this is it. « less
