We drove up from Denver for a 3 night stay. The weather was pretty bad so we had a late check in around 9:00. Not too late though; however, there was no one there to check us in. Then, there were no luggage carts for all our stuff. Once we got to our room, it was ok, but I was expecting a little more for what we paid. The fireplace didn’t work. The hair dryer was broken. The shower had lots of mildew. Someone tried to patch the drywall in the tub area and never finished the job. No cleaning service, didn’t even know how to arrange it if you needed it. The pool was marginal at best. The best was the sleeper sofa. It was terrible. I couldn’t sleep as I was waiting to fall through at any moment. Also, when we checked out, I submitted the survey form with all my comments, never heard a thing. I’m not going back. One good thing, the location was great. « less

Ok first let me say we have been going to Breckenridge at least once a year (sometimes 2),for the last 16 years, and of those we have stayed at Main Street station for the past 8 years. This place has had its ups and downs. For the first 5 years it was perfect! The last 3 years it has always been something to make our trip suck, but hey it's vacation, so we move on and enjoy ourselves. Now Wyndham has bought this resort quest property, so I hope they get it back to the perfection it used to be. I had arranged to check in early since our flight was early into Denver and we had a 1 year old with us. Was told no problem, your room will be ready bc the tenants before are leaving the day BEFORE you arrive. So when we get there at 10am, I am told by the little arrogant jerk that check in is at 4 and our room is not ready. This would be ok, if I hadn't arranged it prior, and if my one year old hadn't gotten sick on the plane and I mean sick....she had a tummy bug we weren't aware of til she had a blow up on the plane--twice. The drive up to breck we stopped 3 times to change--- so you get my drift, 5 change of clothes later for her and 2 for me and 1 for my husband since we were holding her on the plane.... Im a very frustrated mommy cause my baby is feeling poopy and needs to rest. I hope when he has children he experiences the full frustration that we felt. The kicker of all is when we finally checked in our room their was a card left by the housekeeper with her name on it and the day the room was cleaned and inspected---which surprise surprise was the whole day before like I was told on the phone. So we waited at the quandary grill for about 5 hours, with her asleep in our arms. Btw our waiter there was so understanding and very accommodating for letting us hang out at a table in the corner with her. They had the best wings and turkey Reuben lunch special! So enough gripping about check in....Let me give you some pros and cons about mss. From our past and this experience. Pro's -- this place is convenient on Main Street--- walking distance to everything. Easy walk to quicksilver lift (walk to Maggie's and go thru there to the lift) parking is underground which is nice. Lots of places to walk to eat, lots of cute shops, great workout facility... This has improved from years past. They have a new flat screen tv in the workout facility, two treadmills, some machines and free weights. Separate men and women lockers with steam room. The outdoor pool is heated which is a plus with children, plenty of hot tubs. Cons: hot tubs--The three by the workout room are the most used and busy. Every year for the past 3 years one of these has been out of service. This year it was the middle one. This year there was a price list left in our room for housekeeping/room service duties like taking out the trash changing sheets and replacing towels. You have to pay extra for this service which is crap for how much a night this place is. We washed our towels, but mind you there is only one washer and dryer on our whole floor I could find. Not in our room. And the washer sounded like it would break any minute... It barely washed our clothes so here i am washing/scrubbing clothes in the bathtub in our unit then taking them to the dryer. (Cause of so many changes/ with baby first day) A huge con is be very wary of booking a room on the Main Street side. We learned this the hard way. Room 2206 which is where we stayed for many many years is so noisy now because of a bar/club I believe named Celia's. Somewhere between 1-3am the cops are called and arresting someone outside the club for public intoxication or acting a fool. This year we stayed in a room facing the mountain and never heard a peep. Definitely the quiet side and so worth it. The resort itself is a little dated and needs some new to it, like carpet, so hard to keep clean in a snow town, really needs tile or wood floors. Our room was newly renovated and awesome! New king bed mattresses and deco. Two flat screen TVs. Very very nice. Our checkout gal, was so sweet, if we would of had her when we were checking in, I would of overlooked a lot. Trust me when I say customer service /first impression goes along way...... If your Wyndham reading this, don't put a young arrogant twit on your front line. I am a nurse manager where I work and if one of my nurses or techs acting like this to a customer/family they would of been reprimanded. For how much people pay to stay here, we expect an exceptional attitude/service at all times. Overall, we will stay here again. It's convenient to both ski and town. A lot better accommodations than the village or beaver run resort. « less

We were supposed to stay at Breck Inn as part of a resort presentation, but we were upgraded to Main Street Station. Lots of pluses, a few minuses. Pluses: the location is great, walking distance to shops, restaurants, lifts. We parked our car in the heated garage and that was the last we needed it. The room was roomy and reasonably comfortable, although the pull out bed was not too great. The kitchen was wonderful, we didn't have to eat every meal out. Bath was also very nice. Minuses: Noisy! The walls were quite thin, as was the door, so we could hear every conversation next door and in the hallway. Also, during the day, music was blaring in the plaza outside our window. Really not necessary. « less

Perfect location. (Cimmaron building, room 209). Right across the street from the Snow Sculptures. We parked the car and never moved it for 4 days. Walked everywhere. BUT... When we arrived at 2:30, I was informed that "Check in time is 4 PM. Your room is not ready. Come back after 4." She must have been psychic because she did not even check the computer. When I turned away saying "We will find someplace to go until 4", the other young lady at the front desk did speak up and offer to let us park in underground parking at Main Street Station until our room was ready. She also asked for my phone # so that she could call me when the room was ready. IT NEVER HAPPENED. We went back to the check in desk at about 4:25 to find that the crew had changed. We obtained our keys, paperwork and the access code to the underground parking. Unfortunately, the 19 year old genius at the front desk gave us the wrong code. When the door did not open, I called the front desk and was told buy the same ski bumm that the code he had written on my paperwork was correct. I tried it again. I called again. Luckily, I reached another person, who gave me another number, that did open the door. Finally, we are in our room. The kitchen was nice, clean and had everything needed to fix meals. The living room was large with a sofa, loveseat and chair with footstool. A large flat screen TV and a wood burning fireplace. The dining area had a large table with chairs and a bench. Bar stools overlooking the counter. The first bedroom had a queen sized bed. The door to the second bedroom was very difficult to get opened. This room had the king sized bed. UNFORTUNATELY, none of the furnishings were comfortable. The beds, sofa, loveseat, chair, and bar stools were all as comfortable as the un-paded, solid wood dining chairs. For the price, it would have been nice if we could have been comfortable. Oh, and the access code I was given for the wi-fi, it was incorrect also. « less

I stayed here on two consecutive weekends in two different rooms. In addition my colleagues had 5 other rooms at the same hotel. Rooms numbered 2xxx seem much nicer and better equipped than rooms numbered 1xxx and my 3 star rating is an average of 2 stars for the first weekend and 4 stars for the second weekend. The hotel is in a fantastic location next to the ski lift and yet still in the heart of the town. Both rooms were clean and well decorated but room 2xxx was more spacious, had a washing machine and drier, much more modern kitchen, balcony, etc. I have to agree with other reviewers about the internet provision - it is worse than in third world countries. I was trying to book a flight and after an hour of losing service every minute, I gave up and went to the local coffee shop. It's unacceptable for a $200-$250 a night hotel. The staff were very friendly but also completely inept and did not seem to know much about the hotel's facilities or the town in general. I get the feeling looking at other reviews that your quality of stay depends almost entirely on which room you get - that's true to some extent with most hotels but it is very important at this one. « less
