I stayed at this hotel the first bank holiday ofn May this year for 3 nights. We travelled to watch the football match and we couldn't have got a hotel with better location for the football. It is a 10/15 minute walk to the Nou Camp stadium. I would not recommend getting the Metro after a football game, the queue was right up the street! It is a nice hotel and good for value. 5 minute walk from the metro (Les Corts) which has a direct line to Rambalas, where all the main shops and restaurants are. Would recommend this for a weekend stay if you are going to watch the football! Very friendly staff aswell. « less

Arrived at hotel and promptly checked In with no issues!! The lobby was pleasant and relaxed!! We were on the 7th floor in a room for 3 adults, the beds were reasonable, and the bathroom was good with a decent shower! We also had a a small kitchen area but we only really used the fridge!! The location was great, within walking distance was a supermarket, various bakeries and cafes, a shopping centre for designer goods and a large taxi rank. The Nou Camp football stadium was only a 5 minute stroll as well. To get to the main Las Ramblas area and marina it was a ten minute taxi journey and costs between 10-12 euros! Overall the stay was very nice and would recommend the hotel to anybody having a short stay in Barcelona « less

I stayed at the Aparthotel Atenea about 10 years ago and decided to stay there again for a four day trip after Easter. We were delighted that we were actually up-graded to larger room for the stay. The standard of the room was high, very clean with a useful kitchenette. However I have to say that the smaller room I stayed in many years ago was perfectly fine too. Don't let the location put you off staying here. It is really easy to get to all the sights using the metro (nearest one is Les Corts). There is a very handy large department store behind the hotel with a large supermarket in the basement, so you can stock up on Cava and Spanish foodie treats. Our (reasonable) deal didn't include breakfast. To be honest it was nice being able to do this in the hotel room, although I recall the buffet was good on our previous stay. The staff were delightful, helpful and friendly. I really should have given the hotel 5 stars, but unfortunately we had a gang of French football supporters staying in the rooms next door (as the football stadium is nearby). They were pretty noisy and kept us awake in the early hours. (Thankfully their team didn't win or it might have been worse!) Apart from that I would congratulate the hotel for keeping their standards up over the years! Recommended! « less

We had a family holiday in Barcelona (2 adults and 2 kids) and stayed at Aparthotel Atenea. Overall the experinece has been very good. Location is great in terms of connecting to different parts of Brcelona through Metro. Room was little cramped, but we managed well. Staff was very helpful. « less

We wanted an apartment with easy tube links to the city centre, not too near the busy tourist spots but not too far either. The green line (L3) tube is 5 min walk away from the apartment, and this is the line that connects with Las Ramblas, for example.
The staff were exceptionally helpful and kind...humoured our attempts to speak Spanish, but had excellent English skills to hand when needed! They supplied stamps for our postcards & ordered a taxi for us which arrived promptly for our 3am departure!! Having a 24 hr reception desk is so useful & it means you can always get assistance should you need it.
The rooms themselves were large and comfortable, fully serviced daily, with free WiFi which was great. The little kitchenette was perfect for making teas/coffees etc during the day. We didnt try the hotel restaurant but tried lots of cafes near the hotel which sell delicious pastries & freshly baked bread!
