This was our second stay at the Comfort Suites in Lombard. Check-in went quickly and smoothly but when I got to our (non-smoking) room it had a smokey smell. I asked for a different room and the person at the front desk gave me another room right away without question. Our room was clean and I did not notice any problems with it. While we were there there was a leaky pipe causing some havoc in the hallway near the elevator, but the motel staff and manager did a nice job of making sure that their customers remained safe. My son and I enjoyed the hot tub and the pool. The breakfast items were closely monitored by the staff and we enjoyed the complimentary popcorn in the evening and the USA Today newspaper. We will stay here again! « less

Looks like an old motel that has been converted to a more modern facility with interior center hall instead of exterior walkways. Clean and roomy but tired looking. Bathrooms need attention; very low water pressure.
Breakfast buffet was good, space somewhat limited during peak periods.

I spent 199.99 + tax for a themed suite and I was very unsatisfied. On the outside it looks like a rundown motel. The mirror over the whirlpool tub was cracked, the water leaked from the tub because the drain didn't close properly I had to continually add water. The room had a musty odor to it. The lights did not operate properly, I turned on the switch and it took a few minutes to come on. The DVD player dis not operate properly. Don't waist your money or your time. « less

Our family stayed at this Comfort Suites for 2 nights and found it to be a great value. For this level of hotel (at which we usually stay when on a family trip), we found it to be quite high quality. We had a 2 queen suite, which was plenty of room for us (2 adults and 2 teenaged children). The staff were friendly and very helpful. When we started getting settled in our room, we realized that the heater was only blowing cold air. We called the front desk and the response was quite prompt. When the problem could not easily be fixed we were quickly relocated to the neighboring room, which worked out fine. The beds were comfortable, there were ample towels and the bathroom was nice and clean. One thing I really liked was that the heater/air conditioner had a setting where the fan was on continually, which helped me sleep. Also, the breakfast was complete as advertised and was kept well-stocked. We didn't have a chance to use the pool, but it looked inviting. The only negative things we could find were that the carpet could be a bit cleaner and the sleeper sofa was difficult to open/close, but that's all. We don't often leave reviews for hotels we stay in, but we thought that our pleasant experience was worth taking the time. « less

I have stayed at many motels, there are alway large to little issues. This one is excellent. Everything is in there and perfeclty working, Nice and Sparkly clean. Lobby is very nice with coffee 24 hours, lemon water and popcorn!!! Staff is excellent, knows everything about the motel and the area. Ready to hear and help you. Even I got a follow up in just 5 minutes to check everything is fine in my room. Never asked before in any motel/hotel!!! « less
