Hotel Roques is a peaceful small hotel set in pretty gardens and located three kilometers from the busy city center of historic Avignon. The 16 guestrooms are individually decorated in Provencal style with fresh colors and simple furnishings. All include minibars, complimentary Internet access, satellite TV, direct dial phones and hair dryers. Most rooms have air conditioning.
Restaurant Meissonnier, with its exposed stone and low wooden beams, serves Provencal specialties, with alfresco dining in summer. Freshly made bread, pastries, local cheeses and Provencal marmalades are available at breakfast each morning (fee). After a busy day, guests can cool off in the pool or relax under the shade of the mulberry trees in the terraced garden. For those with cars, parking is available on site. Visitors to the region can explore Villeneuve les Avignon, a charming medieval village, once city of the cardinals, and its monuments. There are also numerous hiking paths amidst the fragrant lavender fields of the area. Further afield, historic cities such as Chateauneuf du Pape, Arles, Nimes and Les Baux de Provence can be found within 50 kilometers. Avignon airport (AVG) is approximately 10 minute driving time and the distance is 12 kilometers. Buses run between the airport and central Avignon. Taxis are available at arrivals.

Driving Directions - Hotel Roques
|
By car from A7 (Lyon, Marseille,
Nice), leave the motorway at Avignon Nord. Follow the
direction Avignon centre then Villeneuve les Avignon
Les Angles. Cross the Rhone by the Edouard Daladier
bridge, go up the hill in the direction of Les Angles
Bellevue. At the summit, when arriving at Les Angles,
descend in the direction of Nimes. The Hotel Roques is
300 meters on your right.
