Just returned from a fabulous golfing break in Portugal. We stayed at the excellent Formosa Park where the staff and facilities are excellent. Nothing is too much trouble. Golf at San Lorenzo and Pinheros Altos IS UNBELIEVABLE. The greens are like ligtening and the views breathtaking. I will never golf in Spain again. We are already planning to return again next year. If you get the chance to go here take it. I promise you will not be dissapointed. « less

While only a three star hotel, this place gives amazing value for money, especially if using one of their golfing packages. For under £300 you get 3 nights, two free rounds of golf on the excellent Altos courses, half price on San Lorenzo (my favourite in the Algarve - a must play) and two evening meals. Take one of the rooms over looking the pool - worth paying the extra. Nice and clean, quiet, well located for the Quinta and surrounding golf courses plus if you like beaches and nature reserves there's lots to do nearby. Not for those seeking nightlife and a lively atmosphere but if you're looking for a nice quiet break with activities thrwon in then this is amazingly good value. « less

we went on a golf vacation and found a perfect place. spacious and clean two-room apartment, very good breakfast buffet with tasty fresh fruit and attentive staff. happy hour is well visited by all guests, the bar staff is extremely friendly and accomodating, and make the bar feel more like a living room than a hotel bar, the reception staff helped us with all sorts of things, from recommending good restaurants to changing flights to changing rental cars, all in all really excellent service and great value for money. several groups of golfers go there every year because it's such a good place, we'll definitely come back again! « less
