Set in the heart of the Kitzbühel Alps in the village of Kirchberg, the chalet style Hotel Sonnalp is 500 metres from the Maier ski lift. The 69 guestrooms all feature simple modern décor and light wood furniture and include cable televisions, radios and direct dial telephones. Half board accommodation is offered with a buffet breakfast and four course evening meal.
The hotel restaurant is decorated in typically Tyrolean style and guests can choose from a menu of local and international cuisine. After a day on the slopes, guests can relax in the indoor swimming pool, steam room and Finnish sauna or enjoy a dip in the Kneipp pool. For an extra charge, a solarium, cosmetic treatments, massage, billiards and table football are all available. For some well earned après ski, guests can have a drink in the bar or plan the next day's activities at the free internet corner in reception. There is also ski storage, nearby parking and a children's playroom. The ski area of Kirchberg and Kitzbühel has a total of 60 lifts and 165 kilometres of beginner, intermediate and advanced ski runs, amongst which is the famous Hahnenkamm Run. Guests can ski directly to the village and night skiing is available at the Gaisberg ski lift. Innsbruck Airport is 90 kilometres away with a driving time of approximately 1 hour. Munich Franz Josef Strauss airport is 169 kilometres away with an approximate driving time of two hours.

Taxis and car rental services are readily available at both airport terminals.
Driving directions from Innsbruck Airport: Follow the signs to the A12(E60) motorway towards Salzburg. Turn off at junction 17 Wörgl Ost and follow B178 Loferer Bundestrasse then take the B170 Brixentaler Bundesstrasse. Follow this road for approximately 19 kilometres to Kirchberg. Driving directions from Münich Airport: Take the A9 (E45) towards Salzburg then take the A99 towards Salzburg Innsbruck. Turn onto the A8 for the next 44 kilometres. Take the A93 towards Innsbruck, Kufstein and Brenner. Stay on this motorway into Austria and after approximately 16 kilometres turn off at junction 17, Wörgl Ost. Follow the B178, Loferer Bundestrasse, then take the B170 Brixentaler Bundesstrasse. Follow this road for 19 kilometres to Kirchberg.
