Location. Hotel Sonnschein is located in the Kitzbuheler Alps, in the traditional Tyrolean village of Niederau, Austria, 350 metres from Niederau ski slope and the Markbachjoch Gondola. The nearest train station is seven kilometres away in Woergl.
Hotel Features. Set in a traditional Tyrolean style lodge, Hotel Sonnschein is surrounded by two acres of gardens that offers a solar heated outdoor pool. An indoor pool, sauna, aroma steam bath, hot tub, massage treatment room, and infrared cabin are open throughout the year. Storage is available on site for ski equipment.
A complimentary buffet breakfast is available with an organic corner. The half board rate includes breakfast and a four course dinner. Guests can order cocktails from the lounge bar, next to the lobby, and drink them next to the open log fireplace and on the sun terrace.
During the summer the hotel offers a tennis court, mini golf, and a giant garden chess in its two acres of parkland. A games room includes a play area, table tennis, and movies in the evenings (during winter).
Guestrooms. There are 142 guestrooms available at Hotel Sonnschein, all furnished in a modern Tyrolean style and offering satellite television, telephones, safes, coffee and tea facilities, and bathrobes. The hotel offers a half board room rate.

From Innsbruck Airport (INN):
Distance to Hotel Sonnschein is 75 kilometres, approximately 60 minutes' drive.
Getting there. The easiest way to reach the hotel is to hire a car. Alternatively bus F runs between the airport and the Hauptbahnhof (main train station). The bus departs every 15 minutes and journey time is about 18 minutes. A single ticket costs 1.50 EUR. From here, trains depart for Woergl, seven kilometres from the hotel. Price is subject to change.
Getting around. The area around the hotel is compact and easily negotiated on foot. A complimentary ski bus and Nightliner night bus service runs between Thursday and Saturday throughout the Wildschonau Valley.
