There are a lot of hotels to choose from in this area. There are positives: The lobby area is newly renovated and has a bar and a nice eating, computer, fireplace area. I had a balcony room overlooking a gorgeous courtyard with flowering trees. Room was clean, big and had a fridge. Beautiful bedding. Internet free. I found enough plugs. Fitness room was small, but OK, pool. Room quiet. Outside the lobby the place was tired. Furniture was beaten up, artwork looked forlorn, popcorn ceilings or dropped ceilings. The hairdryer looked 30 years old, but surprisingly, worked great. Long walk from room to lobby. The place was packed despite many choices. So would I stay there again? It certainly was fine, and a very reasonable rate, but I'll probably check out other choices in the area. « less

My hubby surprised me with a mothers day retreat at the courtyard and had to write about my wonderful stay. I was welcomed upon entering, Jan at the front desk was so accommodating and friendly. She made sure I had everything I needed. I enjoyed the pool and hot tub, both were clean and relaxing! I have stayed at this hotel a few times, on Business trips, & always find it a nice place to stay in. It has a convenient location. The hotel staff is fairly courteous, the lobby is nice, & the rooms are comfortable, & clean. I requested for a microwave, & a refrigerator, & was provided these on request. It is a nice property, & would certainly recommend this hotel for staying in Rockford. « less
