This is a good hotel. It's Haverhill, so it's not like you're in the vacation capital of the world, but the hotel itself is very nice. Everything is new, breakfast was good, fitness center adequate, room was spacious. One warning - if you're a runner who decides to head out on the streets, it's not the best location and there are swarms of flies along the river. I dinged them on sleep quality because my neighbors were having a party and I felt like I was invited. « less

Recently, on the last leg of a business trip, I stayed at the Hampton Inn of Haverhill in order to make it to an early morning meeting with one of Haverhill's local businesses. Having stayed in Hampton Inns before I knew that I could count on a nice clean room, hot coffee, a great fitness center, and added business services as well as excellent customer service. This Hampton Inn certainly lived up to the Hampton expectations! Upon arrival there were a couple of guests being helped by the check in clerk (I cannot remember her name but her professionalism and knowledge of the area restaurants is to be commended!) so I helped myself to a fresh baked cookie and steaming cup of coffee- what a treat! The check in process was conducted quickly and efficiently (I was at the desk for less than a minute!) About 20 minutes after check in the clerk called to check up and make sure that the accomodations were to my liking and to remind me that if I needed anything she was just a phone call away; I felt so welcome/valued. The next morning the overnight desk clerk was very helpful in providing me with directions and even a to-go breakfast bag. I will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone I know who will be in the Haverhill area and will definitely use this property again if I am in the area. Keep up the great customer service! « less

This property is a refurbished Comfort Suites and is really trying to become a good Hampton Inn. Our room was fine - clean and reasonably comfortable. Quite a bit of maintenance work being done - did not disturb us particularly. Staff was professional and friendly. Breakfast was sufficient. They had a tour bus with some very pushy clientele staying the night we were there. Only complaint was lack of luggage carts - though we are as quick as possible in loading our luggage one of the patrons saw fit to stand and wait with his hand on the cart. Internet was ok. Will watch for future reviews before deciding if we would stay again. Restaurants a short drive away. « less
