The Boulevard Inn is reminiscent of a bygone era of lush hospitality and quiet charm. Back to a time when steamer boats and coal-burning trains brought travelers to the shores of St. Joseph, Michigan to enjoy the fresh air and cool breezes off the lake. An era when grand hotels dotted the top of the bluff and visitors strolled through the beautiful small town streets and visited quaint shops and restaurants.

The dining room evokes the feeling of an authentic French Bistro that is comfortable and inviting, where locals gather and travelers seek out for outstanding food and thoughtful service. The Bistro is a gem - the kind of place that you are delighted to discover for its charm and sophistication. And there is no better setting - dining al fresco on the deck or in the dining room up on the bluff in the Boulevard Inn where you can take in the magnificent views of Lake Michigan, the lighthouse at Silver Beach and our spectacular sunsets.
Meet Chef Ali Barker, whose food pairs urban savvy with local flavor. His signature style takes advantage of local fresh, seasonal ingredients simply and elegantly prepared. He and his staff are here to provide you with a dynamic dining experience or a simple bite to eat. The menus change frequently, and include daily 3 course menus; a Bistro Prix Fixe at dinner, and a Menu Rapide at lunchtime. The Sunday Brunch Buffet is the best in the area, with familiar brunch favorites along with Bistro specialties that have become a St. Joseph tradition. The evening bar menu offers light fare, and as always, if your have a hankering and don't see it on the menu, just ask. If the ingredients are in the house, they will put it on your plate...
The Bistro has been recognized with the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence "for having one of the most outstanding restaurant Wine Lists in the world." The list features a combination of hard to find, highly allocated boutique wines as well as terrific values from the French countryside.
