Stayed here last weekend - room was very clean, nicely appointed, with a great view of the river and Detroit across the river.
However - famly groups were running up and down halls until midnight, with doors open for "party hall" effect.. which didn't seem to concern the management.
The checkin staff was nice and efficient and the consierge was reasonably helpful about connecting me to a baseball game in Detroit - though my experience in the past has been that the consierge GETS you tickes.. this one simply told me HOW to get them.. but that's no big deal.
All in all, a decent hotel, but for food, atmosphere in the lobby and lack of a gift shop, I would say it was a little more "Holiday Inn" than Hilton. « less

If you use the Valet parking, Marty is fantastic! Always greets you by name and is very helpful. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful. « less

We stayed at the Hilton in April for a gymnastics competition. The room itself was average. I asked for two queens but they said it was unavailable for the one night. View was beautiful of the riverside. Pool was fun for the kids and I enjoyed the scenic view while on the treadmill in the morning. I asked for extra towels for the family but it never came, I didn't mind since we were only there for a night. Self-parking was a bit confusing to get to. When we went looking for dinner the area seemed pretty quiet. We walked out of the over priced Keg that was a block away and was pleasantly surprised at the well priced restaurant in the hotel. Small dinner, not gourmet but we were not looking for anything fancy. Do not leave without trying the breakfast there, surprisingly the best French Toast I have ever had! Fresh fruit at the side and a plate I could not finish. « less

Although it was a beautiful view from the hotel window and staff were kind, this hotel is dangerous. Awoke to bites and rash. Pool was slimey and resulted in a serious skin virus that took days to recover from. Elevators weren't working consistently. Don't stay here if you value your health. « less
