I wanted a hotel close to SMF as I hate those last minute dashes to the airport. First of all the hotel is very conveniently located just off the highway -easy to find even at night in a downpour.Verey well presented hotel--lovely room with fridge and microwave. A lovely touch was the armchair with footstool---wonderful for resting those tired tootsies :) The room was laid out almost like a mini suite with plenty of room for luggage etc. Clean immaculate bathroom. Card must be swiped at side entrance to gain acess to the rooms although I think a nice touch would be to incorporate the safety features that the Premier Inn chain has(especially for solo female travellers) to gain acess to the elevator your room card must be swiped and female travellers are usually not placed in a room at the very end of a really long corridor--which was not the case for my stay here. This was the only downside to my stay. There is a wonderful breakfast in the morning--not really a continental but a wide variety of choices from cooked items --scrambled eggs, sausage, bagels, fruit, juice, coffee etc just what you need before a long plane journey. I also liked the 24hr availability of the shuttle service to and from the airport and the fact that they will also take you to the car rental. I almost forgot to mention what I thought was a lovely touch in the room were the pillows are labelled soft and firm. I had an excellent nights sleep and surrounding the hotel were a wide variety of eating establishments within easy wlking distance but for breakfast in the morning you can't beat their breakfast buffet another plus a lovely seating area in which to eat complete with wide screen tv. I would definately recommend this hotel and look forward to staying there again. « less

We decided to stay close to the airport because of an EARLY flight. Good choice. Right off of the interstate 2 exits from the airport. Clean, comfortable and quiet. EXCELLENT night's sleep. Continental breakfast sign says it starts at 0600, but when we checked out at 0400 it was already set up, which was a VERY welcome surprise! Nice selection to "snatch and dash" for the airport! « less

Don't forget to make a reservation for their airport shuttle! It serves all three hotels in this area.
My only real complaint would be the price. Over $170/night for a Holiday Inn Express??? I guess things a just more expensive in this area, but I didn't think this was much of a bargain. « less

Stayed here on a Monday night. It was very difficult to sleep because of traffic noise. Early in the night the traffic on Del Paso was very loud and all night the noise from I-5 is continuous. The hotel is very clean and the staff cordial and professional. The room was also in very good shape. All this for $170 a night. Sacramento really needs more competition when a pseudo-hotel like this, right on a major highway can get room rates like this. « less

I was not going to write a review about this place but this morning, I kind of feel obligated to. You see, 24 hours after my stay at the Holiday Inn Express Sacramento Airport Natomas earlier this month, I received an online guest satisfaction survey from IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group) and simply deleted that email as I did not have the time nor the inclination to fill out their survey. Two days after that, I received a separate email thanking me for my stay there. How sweet! A week later (that would be today), I'm receiving another automated email from them asking me to fill out the same survey. Isn't it pretty obvious that if you do not respond the first time around, chances are you won't respond the second (and third) time either? I call this constant barrage of emails pestering. Anyway, this time I clicked the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of their survey email and I sincerely hope I'll be left in peace from now on. I have a serious problem when hotels (and other businesses) start harassing their own customers. Now on to my stay proper. I must state first of all that I paid $160 plus tax for a one-night stay at this property, which is pretty outrageous for a basic airport-style motel. The other well rated properties in the area (the Homewood Suites, the Hilton Garden Inn and the Hampton Inn) were all in the same price range the night I stayed there (why, I still can't figure out), so I decided I might as well pick the best rated one. Upon entering the room, I noticed that the bedding looked rumpled, almost as if housekeeping had just made the bed for someone already staying in the room. There were what looked like cookie crumbs all over the desk and there were two rolls of nearly empty toilet paper in the bathroom with no extra (new) roll. I had some work to do the night I was there and although I was able to easily access their wireless Internet, the connection was painfully slow and downloading even the smallest of files (like a 30k Word file) seemed to take 20 to 30 seconds each time. I called reception and explained the problem, and the young man on the phone was excellent in responding to my complaint. He called their Internet provider and called me back a few minutes later to explain that their was nothing unusual or wrong with the Internet that night. We compared our respective download and upload speeds, and I could clearly see that his speed was decent and mine (0.16 Mbps download/0.17 Mbps upload) was dismal. He then suggested I use their in-room cable connection instead, which I did, unfortunately with no significant improvement in the speed. I gave up working altogether that night and went to bed quite frustrated. I must admit that their staff is super nice and helpful, but to me the poor housekeeping (I did not mention this issue to the front desk clerk because I checked in after 9 PM and figured no one could fix my room that late in the night) and the unusable Internet made me regret my choice. And those unsollicited emails became the icing on the cake, which explains why I'm writing this review today. $183.11 including tax for all this aggravation - there are better options out there, I'm definitely never returning here. « less

"My team and I had a great stay at the Marriot Norcross last week. I was unable to meet up with Ms Vanita and unable to passed her a box of Godiva Chocolates I bought for her. We will not even bother to seek other hotel-planning-organization after we have used your great service. You can even quote me on this. Meanwhile, we have to make 2 trips to the states every year from now onwards and will definitely use your services. Once again, thank you for making our trip a success." O.S. - Atlanta, GA
