From London Gatwick Airport (LGW): Distance to The Square is 20 miles, approximately 25 minutes' drive.
Getting there. The First Capital Connect Train regularly travels between Gatwick Airport and Brighton city centre. Journey time is approximately 30 minutes. Taxis wait outside the train station and cost about 8 GBP to The Square hotel. Taxis directly from the airport to the hotel cost about 50 GBP. The hotel offers a luxury transfer to Gatwick airport for 60 GBP.
Getting around. Brighton city centre is compact and best explored on foot. Taxis are available throughout the city and are reasonably affordable. Brighton has an extensive bus system. Single fare costs 1.50 GBP. One day supersaver tickets allow unlimited travel within the city and cost 2.60 GBP. Tickets are available from newsagents. Hiring a bike is convenient for getting around and bikes are available from Brighton Marina or at the old West Pier. Driving is not recommended within the city centre, due to heavy congestion and limited parking.
Driving directions. From the M23. Take the A23 to Brighton Pier and turn left. Turn left onto Stein Street (eighth street).
