Location. The Churfuerstliche Waldschaenke Moritzburg is located in the village of Moritzburg, near Dresden, Germany, 100 metres from Moritzburg Castle and 300 metres from the lake and the Pheasant Palace. The nearest train station is 12 kilometres away.
Hotel Features. A protected historic property located in a conservation area, the Churfuerstliche Waldschaenke is housed in an 18th century former guard cottage. The hotel features an inner courtyard, a terrace and a barbecue area. Paintings of landscapes and hunting scenes, hunting trophies, wooden sculptures, ceramics and porcelain decorate the hotel's rustic public areas.
The Waldschaenke restaurant serves a buffet breakfast daily (surcharge). During the summer, lunch and dinner can be served on the west facing terrace that overlooks the forest and meadows, or in one of the individually decorated dining rooms. An indoor terrace is available during the winter months. The menu offers locally sourced game, fish and meat, accompanied by a selection of fine wines.

From Dresden Airport (DRS):
Distance to Churfuerstliche Waldschaenke Moritzburg is 10 kilometres, approximately 15 minutes' drive.
Getting there. The airport has an underground railway station with shuttle trains to Dresden city centre. The S Bahn station is located on the terminal building's lower level. The fare for a single ticket is around 2 EUR, and the journey time is 20 minutes. From Dresden's main train station, take the S Bahn to Dresden Neustadt. From here bus number 326 goes to the Waldschaenke stop, one kilometre from the hotel. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. Dresden operates an integrated, comprehensive public transport system of suburban trains, trams and buses. Ferries run along the River Elbe, and a funicular railway runs between Loschwitz, the Weisser Hirsch and Oberloschwitz. The area around Moritzburg is compact and easily explored on foot. Hiring a bicycle is a popular way of getting around.
