My daughter and I enjoyed our visit thoroughly thanks to the helpful and friendly service at Dauphine. There were plenty of good choices for the complimentary breakfast and the sunny pool and patio made for a quiet respite after walking around the French Quarter soaking up the atmosphere of this charming historical area. Yes, the chlorine odor was a bit unpleasant in the morning, but at least you know the rooms are being cleaned! « less

Had a great time at Dauphine, which is in a great location to put you close (walking) to TONS of great stuff, but far enough that you cannot hear Bourbon Street! Balcony was nice. BEST part was the very helpful front desk staff, they were great. Did not have the best time at the hotel bar, but who needs to hang out there when there are so many other places nearby?
Would return. Room was clean, housekeeping was sufficient, price was decent, no complaints. « less

This was the second time we stayed at the Dauphine and the accommodations, staff and service were just as good as the first time. The location is great in that it's easy to get to off of I-10 and it's on the edge of the French Quarter so that you can walk everywhere without being in the midst of all the loud revelry. The beds are fabulous - I slept better there than in my own bed at home. My only complaint is that parking at the hotel is extra and is very expensive but I guess that's just the way it is in the French Quarter. « less

The location was great and the staff were wonderful. Our accommodations were across the street from the main facility. Really brought you back in time. The wooden stairs and decking leading to our room are desparate need of repair (dry rot). The room was nicely appointed, but very dark. One wall was exposed brick and no windows other than those in the doors that led into the room. The only source of light was thru the shutters that cover the glass in the doors or the lights in the room. Great if you want to sleep late. The only ventilation is to open the door, or use the air conditioning. I would opt for a room with a balcony in the main facility next time , more expensive of course. Even though the facility was just a block off of Burbon Street (very noisy and busy every night into the early morning hours), our room was quiet. There was a nice court yard with a water fountain just below our room, very pleasant if you wanted to be outside for a drink, read or whatever. Breakfast is included; ample but nothing special. If you want to experience a New Orleans/southern breakfast go out to eat. « less
