The hotel is very close to the airport and the rooms are clean and big. But I almost missed my flight because of their shuttle bus service and their rude staff. My business meeting was running late so I was in a hurry to the airport - and as the next shuttle bus should have been come in 5 minutes (according to their clock in the lobby), I was thinking to use it. I was waiting outside with a few more other guests but the bus was not comming. After 10 minutes we realized that something is not okay, so we told to the receptionist that the bus was not comming. She was basically calling us liars, telling that the bus was here, but we were not outside (which was not true) and her tone was unacceptable. I asked her to call a taxi - but it took 20 minutes until it arrived. At the end I catched my flight - but I wont go to the Mövenpick ever again. « less

We stayed for two nights and had a very good experience.
Staff were excellent. Rooms were nice. Surprisingly, although close to the airport, there is no aircraft noise. There is a business area downstairs with free Internet. WiFi Internet in the room was a bit expensive.
They have a shuttle bus that travels to and from the airport every 20 minutes (or something). That makes life a breeze. If you want to go to the city, ask Reception to give you tickets beforehand so it will save the trouble. Then you shuttle to the airport, follow the train signs and validate your ticket before catching the train a couple of stops to the city.
The main train station is in the heart of the histrocial centre so you can exit the station and wend your way down to the river. It's a nice and peaceful wander.
Back to the hotel...The meals are a bit expensive but very convenient. We had a meal delivered to our room one night. Your next best option is to catch the shuttle and get something from the airport or I guess go into town.
It has no historical atmosphere but sometimes you just want a clean, comfortable experience.

We just finished a Rhine River cruise and elected to stay in Zurich for an extra 2 days, so we could see and explore this city. The hotel, while called 'airport', was not in a direct flight path so we were NOT bothered with 'plane noises' at all. The front desk staff, & the restaurant staff, were all multi-lingual and easily understood as well as being very helpful. The airport shuttle was wonderful and we could easily connect with trains in to the city. While we did not have direct contact with any of the 'housekeeping' staff, our room was always 'spotless' as was the rest of the hotel. This was 'booked' by our cruise company as an 'add-on'. We had no idea of how to find a hotel in this city. Should we ever be able to return either to Zurich, we would choose to stay here. This company also has hotels in other cities and we would probably stay at one of those as well, based on this experience. « less

Stayed for 5 nights with my son(8) and wife from 23rd April.Excellent location.Fantastic communication with airport-shuttle service every 15 mins(except between midnight and 5-30 am-when you actually do not need).So it is very easy to reach Zurich center by train in 10 mins which run every 10 mins and costs 6.6 CHF..Tram (line no 10) is 2 minutes away and costs same but takes 40 mins,however very scenic journey.You can get train tickets at hotel reception but they have only return tickets and no child tickets.However,they explain everything in details. Free internet and computer zone-so you can check your mail,do web check-in,get printouts etc.But wi-fi is weak and charged 5 CHF/hr. Excellent breakfast with wide range of choice-one of the best I ever had around the world. Efficient reception.We were given nice sound-proof room,but we wanted upper floor-so they immediately provided one-though its was a smoking one.One negative point that there was no airconditioning in the room-at 28 C(yes sunny days-we were lucky) it was difficult to sleep.IS IT A FACT THAT THERE IS NO AIR-CONDITIONING IN SWITZERLAND?Then it is very difficult in summer as we were miserable inside the room,however they provided 2 fans but without any desirable effect as in India and south east Asia we are used to Air-con everywhere.Excellent hotel but if we want to go again in summer ,will select some place with air-con ,if any. « less

From housekeeping, to room service, to the reception area. Special commendation to Mathias Vogel who innovatively figured out a way to ventilate the room better and went above and beyond the call.
