We came up a couple of days early for a wedding. This is the off season so there was not much to do but on the plus side we were not charged to drive on the Chautauqua grounds. The full service was great except the restaurant was closed at lunch on Saturday. We made do with food from Dollar General next door and the microwave in the lobby. The staff was nice and the room was very clean. We stayed in an handicapped room and the only odd thing was the toilet was a standard height. Not a problem for us but unexpected. A nice stay. « less

We were back packing on Snowmobile. We were very pleasantly surprised at how nice this hotel was when we rolled in on our snowmobiles. Plenty of room to park snowmobiles and easy to access. ALL the staff were very friendly and helpful. Very reasonably priced and very clean. I would recommend this hotel to anyone passing through the area. « less

We stay here on occasions to visit chautauqua institution it is close and easy to access resturants and grocery stores. across the street is a nice park. The hotel resturant is really a great place to eat the salads are awsome. the courtyard is great to sit with a drink.Very nice and upscale for price. « less

Third time at this hotel, we stay in the winter months when the rates are lower. Under $100 for a queen suite that is immaculate, quiet, ample space, 1 1/2 baths (where else can you find that luxury in a hotel room??) Separate living space with 2nd tv, and refrigerator. Staff is very nice, very accommodating. I had three separate room request criteria with my reservation, and all three were honored with no problem. A separate full-service restaurant on the lobby level, don't even have to venture out in the weather if you don't want to. and there's great food at a respectable price. Another lounge area with full bar. I'd say it's more of an adult place than a family place, No pool on site. Which means if you're a couple of adults looking for some peaceful time, it's the perfect place! Lakeview rooms give a great view of Chautauqua lake in all seasons (and if it's summeriime, you can actually open the windows to bring the outdoors in!!) We'll continue to make this a regular winter weekend getaway. « less

Chautauqua Suites is the newest hotel in Chautauqua County. The rooms are comfortable with a bath and a half and two distinct sleeping or living areas. There is a mini fridge in the room. If you have a family, it may help to know that the fitness center and pool are not on the property_you have to travel a mile or so to an exercise facility. If you have young children with you in the summer, by all means, take advantage of the Mayville lake park which has playgrounds, beach swimming and a bath house less than a mile away. The bigger draw here is Chautauqua Institute and depending on the time of the year, there is a shuttle from this hotel, so it saves you the parking fees and walk. Olive's restaurant is great; other good restaurants are close by. Staff was consistently friendly and helpful. « less
