We found out when we arrived that we were the only guests. We also were told the owners were not going to be there. The greeter was a lovely girl from Hungary who wasn't familiar with the area so we were unable to avoid some traffic problems due to construction that kept us in stop and go for a half hour.We are also used to the innkeepers helping us with what to do and so forth so we consulted the Lancaster Guide book which was from last year. The same lady made us our breakfast next morning admitting she had never made the dish before. We didn't want to hurt her feelings but it was awful. the selection of muffins mentioned on their web page would have helped but there was a coffee cake, 1 serving for each, no selection...The owner's son stayed there that first night but the second night we were alone. The second breakfast was a quiche, kind of blah, and no selection of bread products again- a muffin each.. Internet was on a dish so when it rained it went out for the night also. The place was pretty, we just didn't get the service that was advertised. « less

We are so very sorry for your experience at Clearview Farm. We needed to leave town unexpectedly and so we needed to either cancel the existing reservations or leave the inn with two young ladies who have helped serve before but had never kept the inn alone. This was a very hard choice for us but we choose to honor the reservations. Perhaps this was a mistake :( Again we are so sorry for your poor experience. You will notice that this was the first time we have had a negative review as we have never left the inn with others but we felt that we had no choice.

Although we arrived on a snowy weekend we received a warm welcome from Cheryl and Barry. Their lovely old farm house is beautifully decorated with antiques. The surrounding farmland and barns create a very relaxing Lancaster county atmosphere. The living room overlooks a pond that is home to two swans who didn't seem to mind the weather. We stayed in the Garden Room which was very nicely decorated and comfortable. We enjoyed two excellent breakfasts in the company of congenial fellow guests. Ephrata proved to be a good base for exploring the area, and our hosts were very helpful in suggesting restaurants and attractions. We look forward to returning in warmer weather. « less

I travel to Lancaster county often from Philadelphia but usually just for the day. Since it was Valentine's day weekend we decided to stay in a bed and breakfast. This 200 year old farm house was beautifully decorated. The breakfast was excellent! The hosts know so much about the area and have great suggestions for restaurants and places to go that you are not going to find from tourist centers. The location was great. You are a very short drive to the great downtown of Lititz and you are right in the middle of the most picturesque farmlands of Lancaster county. The value was great. I don't know why anyone would stay in a hotel when you can get such personalized attention in a much better atmosphere with real food. This was an experience not just a stay. A+ all around! « less

My husband and I experienced our first stay in a bed and breakfast at the Clearview Farm Bed and Breakfast. Owners Cheryl and Barry were very welcoming and provided us excellent information about the area. Our room as well as the entire house was very clean and decorated so tastefully with antiques. Cheryl's breakfasts were wonderful, especially the home baked muffins and breads. I would highly recommend the Clearview Farm Bed and Breakfast to anyone visiting Lancaster County. « less

I stayed for 3 nights while attending the Hershey Fall Car Show. Cheryl could not be a more gracious and charming host. By the way, as good as the breakfasts were, she makes excellent coffee! The room, food, location, and peace & quiet were all top notch! « less
