This was our first time staying in North Myrtle Beach. I had heard it was quieter than the boardwalk area hotels. It's true, it was quieter and more laid back. We did miss a little of the hustle bustle of the boardwalk area, however, our stay at Marv Vista Grade more than made up for any excitement at the boardwalk. We loved this resort! We stayed in a four bedroom unit for our party of seven adults and one child. Luxury and well appointed accommodations with a fully stocked kitchen left nothing to be desired. The beds for very comfortable and we enjoyed the outdoor balcony which because of its size served us an another room. The master bedroom was truly exceptional with his and her closets, glass enclosed shower and Jacuzzi tub. Can't wait to return to Mar Vista Grande. We highly recommend this hotel when you need a luxurious condo experience. « less

This was our annual Mothers Day trip in which we always stay at the Mar Vista Grande....this time we had a few hick ups in the road but I must say that Heather did a wonderful job in trouble shooting all the while manikins sure that we were satisfied. We stayed the last 2 days in room 1213...which by far is one the best rooms in my opinion there. Great view, very clean, perfect service at front desk and the housekeeping staff. I look forward to our August beach trip with the kids! I'm truly enjoyed my weekend. It's nothing like EXCELLENT customer service...it trumps any hick up in the road. Thankful! « less

I am writing this the day after departure from Mar Vista Grande. My husband, mother, adult children and their families stayed over Mother's Day weekend in one of the 4 bedroom 3 bath ocean view rooms. I must say this visit was a 100% improvement from our visit in September 2012. I withdrew the post I did in September. The management team of Mar Vista Grande definately are customer service oriented and it's their goal to see you have an excellant stay, which this stay was definately excellant. Our prior stay not so, but management staff offered a discount for us to try them again after I gave my on-line review and because of their consideration for the issues we had with the stay in September I withdrew that review. We finally used the discount to treat my mother for Mother's Day weekend.
I didn't post photos, but our room was beautifully decorated Room 1101. Spotless, everything in working order. The resort accomodated our request for room location without hesitation as I explained why I wished a specific location. Check in was wonderful. The ammenities are great at this resort if you have small children. The pool areas while some may comment are small I think are wonderful for the children and perfect for parents to rest and relax under the canopy unbrellas at the lounge chairs while watching the children play in the pool. The jacuzzi's were very relaxing - everything very clean. Staff were very friendly. The only complaint was the beds in this unit were too firm for most of the group - but that was the only complaint.
This visit has definately convinced me that our first visit was just an unfortunate circumstance and is not the true reflection of this resort. I would highly recommend this resort for famlies and groups to use - as to my knowledge it is the only 3 and 4 bedroom condo resort available in the area. We most definately will visit again if traveling as a large family group in the area. « less
