We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in May. Our room was on the 2nd floor; it had 2 queen beds. We wanted 1 king, but unfortunately all the king rooms were already taken. Our room was very clean with nice furniture. The bed was very comfy. The people at the front desk and waiters in the restaurant at this hotel were extremely nice; they always had a smile and made you feel really welcomed. « less

As we were 'doing' the wineries and the the coast of California we wanted a central hotel and this hotel provided that and much more. - It is very well located near the junction of a north/south highway and an east/west highway. - The town of Santa Rosa is charming with an 'old' part and a more modern 'new' part. Apart from these considerations we found the staff to be exceptionally helpful and polite with really good service. The rooms were more than adequate and were clean and well maintained, although if I was to be picky I would say that the aircon was a little on the noisy side. Although we didn't use all the facilities there were many good facilities from a Spa, through a courtyard firepit to weekend wine tastings, and we felt that you could mix and match to whatever you wanted. Additionally, we found the Bistro attached to the hotel to reflect the aspirations of the hotel giving good service and simple well prepared food - in fact we looked around for restaurants in the town but came back to the Bistro. If we were ever back in this area we would go here again on this showing - it was more than the sum of its parts. « less

I have been staying here several times a year for nearly four years on business and I always look forward to it. The hotel is lovely with wonderful staff who are professional and helpful. Most impressive is the fact that over the years the experience has been consistent. The rooms are comfortable and dressed in rich earth tones. The beds are comfortable (although occasionally I get one that has worn unevenly) with white linens and an overabundance of pillows. And most importantly I have never had to endure noisy neighbors or people moving about the halls even though they have been clearly busy during my stays.
The Hyatt is also located in my favorite area of Santa Rosa. There are more wonderful restaurants within walking distance that we still haven't tried them all. No matter what kind of food you're looking for, they have it. For people looking for unique shops, there's several gems peppered through this area too and a mall just down the street for those who prefer franchise shopping.
If you're looking for an upscale hotel situated near the biggest concentration of best Santa Rosa has to offer, look no further. « less

This hotel, while not up to typical Hyatt standards, is a good value, as it is less than a typical Hyatt. Rooms were typical of business class hotels - roomy with all the amenities but nothing high end. The location is very good for visiting Sonoma County and is in walking distance to the shops and restaurants of downtown Santa Rosa. Location has a down side though as it is located adjacent to the freeway. Customer service was very good. In particular, the Concierge - Ramon, was very helpful in planning our activities and the front desk staff was also very helpful. One real nice feature was the fire pit in the courtyard which was great for enjoying some wine and conversation in the evening. « less
