If you are looking for a practical hotel for a business or leisure stay over in Hong Kong, this one is not bad. All round the quality is acceptable and although the establishment does not stand out as a highlight in my travels, it does meet all the basic needs and then a little more. The room I had had two double beds, and although I could have opted for a room change after the first night, to a king size bed, I was quite content where I was. The view however was dreadful as I overlooked a pretty run down building. Due to the fact that I prefer natural light, I tend to keep the curtains open and therefore had to look onto this building, whereas if you are happy to keep at least the lace curtains closed, you should be ok.
A highlight of this hotel is the gym. When traveling I spend a minimum of an hour per day in the gym and this one was great. Equipment was state of the art and the facilities clean and exceptionally well managed. I only had breakfast in the hotel and it was certainly up to standard.
All in all a pleasant practical hotel, very well positioned. « less

Hotel is in a nice location. Free wifi. But rooms are wet and moldy smell. Request for a change was rejected due to lack of availability. Paying for an upgrade room still have questionable aroma. Perhaps it is simply the sign of aging establishment. Checking out tomorrow and NOT coming back. « less

Very efficiently run hotel in a teriffic location on the golden mile in Nathan Rd. Fantastic for walking and shopping. Close to Big Red bus stop (recommended). Close to Ferries and the evening harbour lights show. Lots of restaurants nearby. Shopping all round is fantastic, with very attractive prices (little to no sales taxes). « less

I wanted a clean safe quiet place to stay in Hong Kong. I was stopping on the way to do scuba diving and had scuba photo equipment and wanted to be able to know I could leave my room and go up into China and come back and still have my stuff. I also wanted wifi that worked well and was dependable. After reading reviews I went with Holiday Inn and what a great choice. The hotel is very nice and much fancier than Holiday Inn in the US. The hotel was quiet although busy, with a comfortable bed, selection of labeled pillows, great wifi, nice view, and I felt my things were secure. I had breakfast buffet there as well which was excellent with MANY choices including custom made omelets. « less

I have stayed at this hotel over 20 times in the last few years so thought it deserved a review. Good position for Hong Kong. Right above MTR, close to Star Ferry, lots of restaurants nearby. If you can get a good deal it is good for Hong Kong rates. Staff are always friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel for anyone on business in the region. « less
