We stayed here for Easter and had a great time. We checked out bikes, played tennis, swam in the pools and floated in the lazy river. IT WAS BUSY. There were a lot of families here. Wristbands were required to enter the pool. My husband couldn't handle the children and went to the spa pool (for $25) and loved it. They have several pools here and my father and I enjoyed one with music, floating in the pool enjoying our cocktails and my mother lounged in the grass area with her cocktail.
With the exception of poolside hot dogs (gourmet NY style -thank you very much), we didn't eat here but we did have a lot of cocktails and they were fantastic. We ate at local restaurants and probably could have walked to them. They have a Starbucks in the lobby.
We checked in to playing a round of golf or hitting range balls and the golf pros were incredibly rude so we skipped that.
The room was great and up to the JW standards. It had a beautiful bathroom and a nice sized tub. Overall, it's a great JW but because of the "child pandemonium" (as my husband called it) we will probably not visit this property during a holiday. That being said, it would be a great property for a family with children. « less

What else could you want? We have stayed here a couple of times and have enjoyed every aspect of the resort. First of all, it is an enormous property. However, you never feel the mass of humanity in a 950 room hotel. The layout is perfect, and the outdoor facilities are widely spread out. I think there were about four pools and a great lazy river. Food, especially breakfast is excellent! We play golf every day, and really enjoy the two courses on property. A real winner in every respect! « less

So first I'll state the obvious, this place is absolutely gorgeous. The grounds are pristine, and the number of pools is every child's dream. I was recently here for work and brought my daughter and mother in law along for some quality bonding time. Check in was relatively quick although nothing special. When I visited the front desk the next day to request turndown service (which never actually happened) the evening manager saw my daughter and immediately produced a stuffed animal. I would say that was the highlight of the service we had while staying here. There was always something to keep us entertained whether it was one of the pools, or visiting the herb garden we didn't get bored. That said, I have never in my life encountered service that was sooooooo slooooooow. At both the outdoor dining patio and the lobby lounge I think we waited at least 20 minutes before a server even came to greet us. Once the server finally did arrive there was no apology made for the ridiculous wait....and let's be clear, it wasn't crowded, there was only one other couple dining at the time. Perhaps they're trying to give an authentic "dying of thirst in the desert" experience. Would I stay here again??? For work, probably. For a leisurely trip where I want to be waited on hand and foot, I think I'd keep searching for another desert oasis. « less

The whole family stayed in this hotel when we accompanied my husband for a company event recently and just loved it. We were there 5 years ago and it is still well-maintained and gorgeous. The landscaping on the grounds is lovely. The grounds are enormous! The ballrooms are huge with gigantic ceilings - perfect for functions requiring large theatrics. The food was great as were the staff. We loved our jr.suite, which was ridiculously large. All in a all, a very relaxing stay in a beautiful spot. The JW's are always top notch. « less
