Set against dramatic desert skies and native plants, enjoy a Troon Golf experience at Kierland Golf Club for true desert-style golf, featuring a par-72, 6,900 yard design with 3 distinct nine-hole courses. Courses feature over 45 species of wildlife and more than 30 native plant types. Our golf program includes individualized instruction, combining golf and fitness to increase driving distance.
The resort experience continues with Agave-The Arizona Spa. Named after the native moisture-rich plant, Agave-The Arizona Spa features 20 treatment rooms, a full-service salon, movement studio, weight training/cardiovascular studio, men’s and ladies’ locker rooms (each with whirlpool, sauna and steam room) and a full-service juice bar. The resort also boasts an extensive water park that includes an adult pool, a wade-in kids’ pool, a flowing river ride, 110-foot waterslide and beach area. Children 4-12 can play and learn at the Tumbleweed Kids Club®. Gluten free food was prepared safely....and even a doggie-bag of GF food for the next morning's breakfast was left in my room so I could make a morning flight on time....special kudos to Julie Hartwig, Banquet Captain for special attention and a hand written note "begging me to accept goodies for the flight home." While my brain and heart thanks her for going the extra mile, I'm afraid my hips will not if I eat everything she provided!
Wifi fees were reasonable as were restaurants...the grounds are gorgeous.
Hotel was one of the cleanest I've stayed in, and the mattress was wonderfully firm...my back thanks the Westin Kierland as well. This hotel & spa knows hospitality like few others. « less

I used my Starwood Points and suite upgrades for this second stay at the Westin Kierland....it was fantastic. New decor throughout the hotel, very clean and great staff throughout. The grounds are beautiful and there are a number of activities one can do if you're on vacation. Although the hotel was full, there was always loungers available at the adult pool...or any of the others on-site. The bagpiper at sunset is a nice "new" touch too! Would recommend you rent a car, so you can take advantage of shopping opportunities and restaurants that aren't as pricey as Kierland Commons. « less

Went to a conference in May and was lucky enough to stay at this property. It is beautiful, clean and next door to a nice shopping area. I only ate conference food so I can't comment on the restaurants and it was pretty good but not great. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The grounds are immaculate and the pools are HEAVENLY!! « less

Our family gathered here from various parts of the country to celebrate my Mom's 80th birthday. We could not have been more pleased by the hotel's welcoming staff, service beyond service for such a large venue and the lovely outdoor areas which can accomodate large but intimate gatherings. While it is a large resort the staff truly understands service and there was nothing we didn't like about this place. I would go again as it was easy to get to, easy to walk to a bunch of great restaurants and shops and easy to relax and enjoy it all!! « less

We stayed for 5 nights and had a really great time. The employees were all very nice and attentive. All except one incident when we were having lunch at the marketplace down by the pool and I overheard a waitress complaining to another waitress that there was a lady who was being very "needy and difficult." The grounds were very nice! Very pretty and relaxing. Kind of wish the pools were open a little later than 7 though, but I was glad the adult pool and hot tub were open 24hrs. The food at the marketplace was amazing!!! I also ordered a strawberry smoothie from the bar and it was probably the best smoothie I've ever had!! Sooo good!! The rooms are very nice. The only complaints were that our carpet left our feet black every night! We called the front desk and they offered to shampoo it but we didn't want to hang out in the room while our carpet gets cleaned. We also wished they had ovens in the rooms, we wanted to cook dinner one night and couldn't because there was no oven. One last thing, there is a huge pot hole on your way into the condos and I would hit it every time! I'm surprised I don't have a flat tire! You guys should get that filled, it's really annoying running that over every time you pull in. « less
