Stayed for business and have been here several times within the last few years. When I am travelling and working in the area I prefer to stay here. The hotel is modern, clean and very safe. Work out room is great and has an indoor pool. Gift shop has some awesome items and sell Brighton products at a decent price. Food was good, and staff go out of the way for you. I am always looking a safe area and this is a great one. If you are looking for a family friendly hotel and bring your kids along on your trips, this is also a good spot. Mall with cinema across the street and many restaurants. « less

I regret having to write such a poor review, but I feel it necessary to warn others of the policies in place under current management.
I have stayed at this particular Marriott many, many times and have enjoyed my stays, raving about the hotel. In fact, this very day I had just posted a positive review about Breeze Grill (Amazing!) and how great the Mother's Day Brunch was... even though, the night before, I was kept up until 2:00 AM because of noisy teenagers on the 3rd and 4th floors, but, here's what happened:
Because of getting so little sleep the night before, I'd gone to bed early and was sound asleep when about 10:00 PM the hotel room phone rang. It was the manager, Anthony, saying that my $100.00 deposit wasn't enough to cover recent incidental room charges - the brunch etc and the card transaction did not go through.through. He needed me to make good on these charges immediately with cash or another credit card.
I was caught off guard. I am used to paying for my room in advance, which I had, and providing them with my card number for other charges (done), and settling up with them on checkout, so I didn't understand the urgency.
He was adamant, but I refused, telling him that I was exhausted and I'd settle up in the morning. He remained adamant about it. I said, "No, not now", again, adding "unless he wants to kick me out of the room" - He said that would be fine, that I would have to leave. Excuse me?
Minutes later, Anthony and the security guard were at my door. I didn't let Anthony speak much, but stated my position - very clearly.
Again, he asked if I had another method of payment. "Yes, I could give you another card, or cash, but, no", it's become a matter of principle. You will get your money in the morning.
He finally agreed.
Unbelievable! I plan to take this up with his boss, Clay Andrews, in the morning. Too bad... I really enjoyed my other stays but this incident is making me rethink staying here ever again.

We stayed for 2 weekend nights in April, and I was not that impressed. Parking seemed very high ($21 valet/$15 self park) considering you were outside of LA and Internet was $13/night (must pay separate for each device). There was a larger convention going on, which lead to the hotel lobby being overcrowded, and long lines/crowds for everything, especially elevators and Starbucks in the morning.
I found the front desk staff to be a little unfriendly/inflexible. We had booked a 2 bedroom room (had 3 adults) several months in advance, and while I know the hotel never guarantees room types, all they had were king bed rooms available. It seems based on discussion with staff the hotel was overbooked due to the women's convention. They were able to get me a roll in cot, so it worked out okay, but not perfect. Also, they forget to give me vouchers for a free breakfast we were supposed to get, which required an additional visit to front desk the next day. In the front desk staffs defense, they seemed to be overwhelmed by the large convention checking in that day.
The bell staff, housekeeping and valets were very helpful, engaging and provided quality/quick service.
Hotel does have a restaurant, had breakfast there on Sunday morning, food and wait times were both fine. As other posters have stated, there is a mall across the street, as well as many restaurants/stores on the main road near the hotel, if you are looking for places to eat/shop.
Hotel has both and indoor and outdoor pool.
TAke a quick drive to Topanga Canyon, and there were so beautiful views of the area. « less

As far as Marriott's go, this one is just average. Stayed her for a week and things add up quickly. Parking can be up to $21/night. Internet is $13/night. And room service is outrageous. Fortunately, there is a mall right across the street from the hotel, and if you play your cards right, you can find parking outside the hotel on the street. The rooms are spacious with balconies, but nothing special. Lobby is nicely redone. It's a bit out of the way for LA attractions like Walt Disney, etc. The staff was new or acted new when I arrived and didn't know how to do much without supervision so check in took quite a while. « less

"Just wanted you to know that your site is the greatest. If I hadn't stumbled onto your web site I would not have been able to make as good a deal (which may have resulted in our having to cancel this trip to arrange for something more local). Thank you and your group so much!!! I will keep this web site handy for future use and also tell everyone about it." A.L. - Hershey, PA
"I have been working with Samantha and she has made the process seemless and easy. Thanks for checking up. This was the first time using you for a block of rooms ~ what a great set-up you have! My days of calling individual hotels directly are over. I will be using and recommending your services again." M.R. - East Lansing, MI
