I've come to trust Courtyard by Marriot, but they let me down here.
First the positives. I really like the little Bistro restaurant they had in the hotel. The food was good, fresh, and the help friendly. The location was easy in easy out. The lobby was updated and attractive. The beds were comfortable, but a bit too soft and unsupportive after a bit.
We came for a business/family weekend and stayed here specifically because it had a pool. Unfortunately the water was about 60 degrees and miserable. I asked them to turn on the heater and they said it was on!? They weren't in any hurry to rectify this problem even after being their three days.
It took us 45 minutes to check in as the three people in front of us all had to change rooms after finding their room non satisfactory in cleanliness.
My toilet didn't work for two days. Each time I complained they said they would fix it immediately while I was out for the day. Only to return and find it hadn't been touched. NO APOLOGY no discount. I wouldn't advise drinking from the sink in room 332.
The bathroom wasn't a great place to be anyway as all the corners were full of black and brown crud. Clearly the cleaning staff isn't doing their job. I cleaned it myself as my kids were grossed out by it.
Seems the management of this place needs shaken up a bit. It's a bit of ickyness under a nice veneer. « less

I didn't quite know what to expect when I booked a night at this Marriott since the previous reviews were not terribly consistent. After spending a night here I'd say this place is average. The check-in was quick (I was using my Marriott points) and even though we arrived earlier than anticipated, a room was ready for us. The room itself had a mini-fridge, which we didn't use, a large TV with some upgraded cable channels. It appears that wi-fi was free but we never got around to using it. There was a pool and fitness center on the ground floor, which we again didn't use. The room and bath were clean, but they did scrimp on the towels. They were ridiculously thin and not because they were worn out. I can't imagine whatever possessed someone to purchase those cheap towels. They won't need to worry about theft that way, I suppose. Not that we really cared, but the decor in the room we had, was rather haphazard. The pictures on the far side of the room were partially blocked by the TV. The location of the hotel made it an easy process to find and easy to leave the next morning. Our room overlooked the interstate but was still quiet. If you had shopping to do, the Great Northern Mall was very close. Several restaurants were within easy walking distance. All in all, I'd say that if you're stopping off after a day of driving, this place will certainly fit the bill. If you want something deluxe, then you're out of luck. « less

I stayed at this hotel as a deviation from my normal hotel which is the Hampton Inn Beachwood when I travel to Cleveland for work. BAD IDEA. While the hotel was very close to the NASA base it left a lot to be desired aesthetically. You could tell the lobby had been updated which was great. However, when I arrived to my room I thought I was being punk'd. It was very dated and dingy. There was nothing inviting about the decor or smell of the room. I also had a joke of a refrigerator reminiscent of a college dorm. The service was average at best. Often times I had to wait for someone from another area like the coffee bar to come over and help me at the front desk. The bottom line is I would not stay here again. « less

Met family as a half way spot to celebrate spring birthdays. We arrived a little earlier that check in because we had finished touring the Christmas Story house faster than planned. We were kindly greeted and both rooms were ready so they allowed us to check in early without any problems. Rooms were the size as requested, kings with pull out couches. Pull outs used for child and teen. Teen stated bed very uncomfortable. King bed comfortable but not the pillows. Pool good size, nice and warm and a hot tub next to it. Lots of resturantes close by along with the Great Northern Mall. « less

This is a great place to stay when you are flying out of Cleveland and need a place to stay close to airport. Price point is better than those a little closer. The nice thing is they have a 24 hours shuttle. The lobby has been redone in recent months, the stay is attentive, there are places close to eat. What I like is Fat Head's Brewery is a short shuttle ride away (see other review for that!). There is also a good size gym for a Courtyard and did take advantage of that! « less
