We couldn't have been happier with our stay w/La Quinta. It was our first time using this chain and this hotel and we'd do it again. The room was huge, which was a blessing as we have 2 young kids and 2 dogs we were traveling with. Everything was new and clean and everyone was very nice. The indoor pool was nice and warm! The best part for us was being able to stop somewhere with our dogs and not have to pay the outrageous deposits that many other hotels charge. What a blessing for us! We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this hotel. « less

The hotel sits in a very quiet area and has a sidewalk all the way around the building which is excellent for walking your dog. There is an apartment complex across the street, but they too were nice & quiet. I felt totally safe walking my dog (alone) at night around the building because it is well lit. There is an empty lot in front of the hotel if/when something gets built there the "quiet" situation might change. I did not use the pool, but I did check it out & the chemicals might have been off because the water color was more green than blue. The rooms were slightly dated, but comfortable. They do have upgraded beds which you will dissolve into, if you like that kind of bed you will love it! There was a microwave & small refrigerator in the room which was also nice. The ac/heater is wall unit, under the window & the one in my room did not seem to get cold enough. My only complaints were: the tub bottom was totally scuffed-up and appeared dirty, like it needed to be scrubbed with Comet, and the carpet was dated & has seen better days. Overall, I liked where the hotel was located and the outside of the building was great, but the rooms need a little bit of work. Will stay there again. NOTE: the hotel is not super close to restaurants, you will have to drive to get to area where there are fast food & other restaurants, just something to consider if you do choose this hotel. « less

During my 4 night business stay, I spent two evenings listening to the next room - voices, door/drawer slams. These were not evenings well spent! The non-stop humming of the refrigerator in the room was no help either. Like so many of the newer, entry level hotels, this one suffers from construction compromises. Not much sound deadening insulation between rooms, inexpensive windows that allow dust and noise from the parking area into the room. The bath room fixtures are of inexpensive, residential quality - the plastic handle on the open toilet broke with no effort. The sink faucet, shower head were similar quality. The breakfast room was no different than the guest room - big room, inexpensively furnished and lighted, poorly maintained. Selections were unattractively displayed, and low quality. Front desk staff could be more professional, particularly at check-in. On the plus side of the coin: This hotel is better operated and maintained than the Best Western Palms just down the road. « less

Spent 1 night on our way to Red River NM. We were traveling with out 2 small dogs and looked for hotels on my i-phone while en-route , that accepted dogs. We just picked the first La Quinta listed and were very glad we found this hotel! Very quiet, very clean, nice area to walk dogs! Beautiful hot tub, pool area. Nice gym and breakfast area. If ever in the area again, we will definitely stay here! Staff was very friendly!

We attended a famliy wedding and chose not to stay in the designated hotel due to high pricing. We enjoy staying at La Quinta and found some eating establishments a short distance from the hotel . It was a little isolated from things we wanted to see and do, but the overall stay was very acceptable, « less
