We spent 5 nights here in late April and are so pleased our travel agent recommended it to us. It is boutique-ish, but not too small with a lovely restaurant, lounge and courtyard, all newly decorated with period furniture. Breakfast was excellent. When we saw the bathroom in our room had not been fully cleaned when we first checked in, the very apologetic staff ushered us to an equally lovely room. I would recommend you request an inside room for the most quiet experience. We enjoy 5 star hotels regularly and actually moved on to the Dorchester in London after we left here. The Castille is not the very high-end/over-the-top Meurice (or Dorchester, for that matter), but it gets a 4.5-5 from us because of how utterly enjoyable our stay was. And the price appropriately reflects its standing amongst 5 star hotels like Le Meurice. The staff were pleasant, professional, service-oriented, and helpful. Our room was lovely, just like the pictures, and larger than what we expected, though still smaller for US standards. But it's Europe! And the location? Six stars! « less

“Well located and nicely decorated hotel, but the service lets it down - far better hotels in Paris”

This hotel has a great location just off the Rue St Honore next to Chanel. The rooms are very small but nicely decorated although the bed was extremely uncomfortable. HOWEVER, even though the ambiance was nice, this hotel is NOT worthy of 5 stars or the prices that are charged and the owners clearly don't want repeat business. Despite that I had a rate that was refundable and despite that I intended to return to the hotel later in the trip, the hotel would not credit me for a single night after a minor mistake with the dates I had booked. I found the front desk staff (particularly when I arrived) very unfriendly and unhelpful. Some of the common areas are also not 5* quality and despite providing a turn-down service the hotel never left any water in the room except a small bottle for 9 euros. This is ridiculous. In addition, the hotel advertises tea and coffee making facilities and other amenities in the room that weren't there. The breakfast room was very nice. This hotel is definitely not up to the standard of other small 5* hotels in the area with comparable prices such as the Sofitel. I chose a different hotel for the second part of the trip. « less

Dear NYCTraveller18,
I am sorry to read that your stay with us did not meet with your expectations. Regarding the room size, and if we have the pleasure of welcoming in a near future, our Junior suites or Duplex suites may be more appropriate for you (220 to 275sqf for rooms vs 323sqf for juniors suites or 430sqf fo Duplex suites).
As far as the service is concerned, it seems that we missed you on this. It is usually what our clients are complimenting about the most.
I would like to thank you for bringing these comments to my attention. Feed-backs (positive or negative) are the only way for us to improve and to fulfill our clients expectations as much as we can .
Best regards.

I planned to take the whole family to Paris in June and booked their Presidential suite. Intent on having a great holiday for the family, I made a special trip to Paris this week to view the suite. I have been communicating with the reservations back office staff. My fault was that I did not give advanced notice and simply flew to Paris. The reservations manager told me that the suite was occupied and it was not possible to see the suite. I explained that I had flown up to Paris and could I please see some rooms - I was simply told that I could not be helped! I had flown 12 hours from Asia!!! So I simply turned up at the hotel and asked the concierge to show me some rooms. He confirmed that the presidential suite was already booked but I explained I just needed to see similar rooms to ensure that those in the suite were going to be big enough to fit 3 baby cots. The lovely gentleman was so genuinely helpful - and he proceeded to show me several rooms including a junior suite which helpedxme realise that the rooms are probably big enough. But the back office staff needs to be friendlier, particularly when I explained that I had already travelled to Paris and if I could not see the hotel rooms, I would start viewing the other hotels. The manager showed absolutely no interest in helping me with my predicament. Therefore the previous 2 reviewers, one positive and one negative, can both be believed. I hope the reservations team also realise that they too add to the joy or otherwise of a hotel stay. « less

Dear Doctor YS,
After reading your comment you posted on TripAdvisor, it will be difficult to me to express by writing how frustrated and distredded I feel about the bad experience you had with our reservation department during your last visit. It is so far away from the usual guest service we are proud to provide to our international guests. But it seems that this time we have been unable to answer to your basic needs and it is unforgivable. It will not change your idea about the Castille Paris (and I regret it), but based on your comments, I have already taken all measures with my team to make sure that these discrepancies in service will not happen again.
I look forward to welcoming you and your family in June.
With my personal apologies,
Sincerely yours.
