The Hilton Austin Airport is two miles east of the intersection of Highway 183 and 71 and minutes away from I-35 and Mopac Expressway. The Hilton Austin Airport is a historical hotel previously utilized as the United States Air Force building and served as the strategic air command center during the Vietnam War, Persian Gulf War and Desert Storm. The unique architecture has permitted the hotel to previously be termed the 'donut' due to the completely round shape of the facility with it being open to a lovely atrium in the center.
