I find I like certain hotels primarily because of room layout and view. As such, this was the first hotel in which I had a sliding glass door that looked out onto a lovely manicured courtyard. Although the screen doors were locked to prohibit guests using the balcony, the fresh air and the view were enough. More importantly, this hotel accomplished something that no other hotel, four star or otherwise had accomplished-it fulfilled my requests quickly and efficiently. Sound simple, unimportant-guess again. I've probably had 50-100 hotel stays in the last few years. This was the only hotel that immediately followed through on two requests for room modification requests to accommodate an elderly parent. Kudos to the engineering and housekeeping staff for that. « less

I frequently stay at this Coutyard, but thinking of choosing another. This week both rooms had no cable tv service for the 3 major networks. I gave up, since I had a late check-in. I had the same problem when I staye here last month. All 3 rooms were on the west wing of the hotel. Management of hotel does not seem to care. « less

Location was a little challenging to find due to poor road signs. Once we learned our way around it was easy to locate off of 50.
We stayed from 4/12-4/14/13. Check in was smooth. Staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is very nice and clean. Our room was clean and spacious for our needs. Our room faced the courtyard. Our sliding doors actually opened up to a small balcony for us to enjoy a nightly breeze. My daughter had a state tournament in the area and the hotel did a wonderful job setting up breakfast for Saturday morning in a conference room. The Bistro in the lobby is priced too high for the foods offered. I purchased a ginger ale from the lobby and it was >$2.00 for a 16 oz. We had a refrigerator in our room and later stocked up on drinks/snacks that we purchased at the surrounding stores. The pool is located inside and small. The night Manager was wonderful on Saturday (4/13) and went above and beyond to meet our needs. Overall had a nice stay. « less

I do feel that our hotel is a great fit for families like your who have tournaments on weekends or who just want to get away. I also feel that our courtyard view is a plus for our hotel as it gives a peaceful environment for many of our guests to relax and unwind from the days activities. Our pool is also a plus for families as it gives children and adults alike a chance to have some fun.
I hope that if you are in the area, or if your daughter's tournament repeats next year you will choose to stay again with us again.

Stayed for one night before catching an early flight out of Dulles. It is well located close to the airport and the shuttle service was quite efficient. Food at the bistro was average to poor. Had a king suite which was spacious for a family of four but was nothing special. Some of the furniture was a bit worn. Our room was located just off the lobby near some conference rooms and the hallway stunk pretty badly of food they were serving on the conference rooms. It was ok but below average for what one would expect at a Courtyard and Marriott standards. « less
