We loved our stay at Hotel Casa de Guadalupe. It is an easy walk to the busy part of town, but the hotel is located just beyond all the hub-bub so you can relax. Our room was beautiful. Well appointed, huge, and a great bathroom. There was a little street noise sometimes just because the streets are cobblestone and the cars would be braking at the corner where the hotel is situated. The cathedral next door is very beautiful. The city of San Cristobal de las Casas is lovely. We stayed for a week of immersion Spanish classes at Instituto Jovel, and this hotel was the perfect place to unwind and review everything we were learning.... « less

Casa de Guadalupe talks history, its unique interior setting and real authentic design with the allocation rooms through the building is worth a stay alone. The nice and very attentive staff put the topping on the cake. Adding the location a couple of walking minutes away from the busy city center this was the perfect pitch for us as a family travelling with two kids (3 and 9) - they loved it, too. « less

We happened upon Hotel Casa de Guadelupe when we were unable to find the place we'd booked. Staff at the hotel were very helpful, making a call for us and getting directions. When we decided it wasn't the place for us, we returned and were offered our pick of rooms, as only a few others were taken. We chose a room in the back, away from the dining and bar area, which we thought was wise. We still heard a bit of noise from the kitchen, but not too much. The noise that did bother us was that of a party nearby, but that's not the fault of the hotel or its location. It sounded like a private party in someone's yard. The manager offered us a package of earplugs which worked like a charm.
We enjoyed the 10-15 minute walk to and from the zocalo. It gave us a chance to window shop and get to know a more residential neighbourhood, rather than be part of the downtown hubbub, which I think would have been much noisier.
It took a while to get the hot water rolling in the shower, but there was ample when it finally arrived. The rooms were spotless and service in the hotel was friendly, yet always professional. I am sorry we didn't take any meals in the hotel, because another couple's dinner and breakfasts smelled fantastic.
I would return to Hotel Casa de Guadelupe, but I hope the next time I visit, the weather is a bit warmer and sunnier in San Cristobal. We were chilled to the bone, especially after coming from Chiapa de Corzo, which was much warmer. « less

Casa de Guadeaupe is a good place to stay. The hotel is well maintained. Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff are very helpful and friendly. We had no trouble making an early check-in. The only downsides are the hotel is located a little out of the centre of town (although it's a nice walk) and the front rooms can be noisy from the passing traffic. « less

Testimonials: Why use Hotel Planner?
"Bob responded very promptly and the booking process went very well. They answered all our questions and offered the rooms we needed at the price they quoted. It was a very efficient way of finding a hotel for our group. You have been excellent to deal with. I have already referred your company to another teacher in our school. Thank you for being so helpful and following up on everything!!" G.W. - Cleveland, OH
"It was so nice to just put up what I wanted and you contacted the hotel for me. I had spent hours trying to find hotels for my wedding and this was so much easier. Thanks!" B.M. - Anaheim Hills, CA
