This lives up to expectations for the size of the city and price point of the hotel. We had 4 rooms and 3 of them were fine. The fourth room had bugs and they immediately moved us to another room and comp'd us the room as it was 3 am. They have a half price happy hour and that was nice. All in all a fine stay and what we expected (except for the bug room but they took care of that). The rooms were clean and we didn't have a problem with noise. « less

The hotel is very clean, furniture looks new and quiet location. Pool was nice, gym was clean and had free weights for working out. Also had laundry room to wash clothes. Only one washer and dryer so make sure if you need to wash clothes you get there soon. Internet was a good speed and of course breakfast was free. The fire alarm did go off around 9pm the night I stayed there but that was really the only negative thing I found on this stay. I recommend this hotel if your staying in Temple one or more nights. « less

Hands down the WORST place to stay in Temple... rude front desk agent, I think her name was Nicole and was obviously hating the world. Restaurant was terrible, guest rooms were dirty with hair all over the bathroom floor, coffee maker broken, refrigerator didn't go much below a balmy 70 degrees. I wanted to talk to the GM but was informed she was just about to go home and that I should try to catch her the next day or by email??! « less

When I first had business in Temple, I tried some of the other hotels. They were OK but the Hilton Garden Inn has it all. The hotel has a homey but upscale feel and is kept pretty clean for a busy place. The service is awesome with everyone, from the general manager to the front desk and room staff, checking to make sure everything is going well. The night manager runs the busy restaurant very well in the evening, even when it was buzzing the night I was there. They had live music playing the last night I was there. It wasn't loud & obnoxious or sleepy but just right. The food at the hotel is pretty good for a chain hotel. The bar area is a little small and crowded but overall, this THE place to stay in Temple. « less

The hotel and staff were awesome! They were helpful and friendly and went out of their way to make our stay a great one. The only thing I would not recommend about this hotel is their restaurant. They were too busy serving alcohol, and I finally went to the kitchen area to place an order. Because of a severe storm, our TV went out. It was fixed immediately. The beds were out of this world! It was quiet and very clean! We would definitely stay here again. My mom had a battery of tests scheduled at Scott and White and staying at this hotel was so convenient to the hospital. Because of her hospital visit, they gave us a discounted rate. « less
