Our family of two parents and two teen girls stayed here for 7 nights in March. I booked at the hotel website - the "prepaid package rate" - only $40 per night, a geat deal. We have stayed here before, so I knew what to expect. I prefer the tile floors because I know they are clean, so I requested a room with them. Upon arrival, the front desk person informed me that she needed a credit card to charge the room to! I was very confused, as I had booked the prepaid rate online. She, another desk person, and the owner? all researched and informed me that I had NOT been charged (I assumed I had been). Started the vacation out $500 in the hole :( We were given a room by the pool farthest from the lobby. The card key wouldnt work (it was now almost midnight) so we drove back to the lobby. After an apology, the desk person gave us a suite room - again the card key machine wouldnt even come on. Back to the desk a thrid time and the manager listened and helped us out, reprogramming the key on the original room. Finally it worked. There were piles of garbage (from a previous guest) in front of our room for two days. Yuk. I moved them over a bit because I hated them - I called to have them removed with no success. The pool we were around was closed permanently after our first night :( had to walk about 10 minutes in my swimsuit to get to the other pools. Hot tub was close to room and very nice - no problems. The covered pool was amazing! The temp was about 85F the whole time we were there which was nice on chilly nights. No towels out, though - made for a chilly long walk back to the room... The other pool was nice for laying in the sun, but very cold water. The last two days we were there, something "broke in the covered pool, causing the whole thing to turn green." Conveniently, they painted the whole floor of this area while it was "broke". The other pool was still out of commission, so that left a pool about 20' x 50' for the whole resort to use. Three tables, ten lounge chairs, and about ten chairs. Way too crowded. Glad we left the next day. Nature area is still great as always - saw otters early in the morning there under the little bridge! Hotel location is great - very close to Disney on easy to travel roads. A decent selection of restaurants - subway right across the street... Didn't try hotel restaurant due to reviews. Definitely need to have a car with this hotel - it's away from touristy areas... Overall, a nice place to stay but nothing really fantastic. I'd compare it to a Holiday Inn only a little more run down. Worth it for a cheap place to stay. Rooms were decent and clean. Refridge and micro worked fine. Shower was always hot and clean with plenty of towels. Noisy air conditioner. « less

Back in April this year I stayed at this hotel and had the best rest I have had in years. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful when I needed some questions answered about Disney and Universal address and ticket prices. From the hotel I had no trouble getting around to the theme parks and my favorite dinner theater in the world... Medieval Times. I have been to many hotels around the world and can safely say that this hotel can compete with many of the finest. « less

My Husband and myself and our little dog Bella stayed here for the Christmas and New Years Holiday in 2011 & returned in December 2012. We drove from New Jersey. We found Champion to be price friendly, clean, safe and staff friendly. From the moment we checked in to the moment we checke out. Our stay was enjoyable. Extremely close to the Disney parks and to restaurants along the strip. On the days when we did not not the Disney thing we hung around,I did laundry. Their laundry area was very clean. We did local site seeing. Hung around the pool. After dinner went to the hotel bar. Found it relaxing, pleasant, friendly staff. An enjoyable evening with one you love. We enjoyed our stay so much, the night before we were leaving we were sad. Thinking of ways to stretch another day. But as they say all good things come to an end. However we bought the good times back when we returned in 2012 ! Champions World Resort gives you a pleasant and enjoyable stay. Thank you Champion! Ricardo, Camille and Bella « less

like many others, we were worried about the reviews that were posted about this place, though when we reviewed those posted by the Brits the reviews are better. We are really happy with all aspects of the resort. It is clean, safe and ideally located.Rooms are of a good size with good facilities. Check in was fast and efficient. As we booked with Thomas Cook, there was no resort fee to pay. The nature reserve is really nice. A relaxing escape from the hustle and bustle. People that rate this place badly are people that expect 5 star luxary for bargain rates. All it needs is a lick of paint and some modernisation. Would return here any time as it met all our requirements. « less

The hotel is ok - it does have 3 pools however I would describe it more as motel and certainly not a resort. Having said that we hardly spent any time there and it was ideally located for the Disney parks. Think we paid over the odds through Thomas cook and was surprised they still used this hotel - my advice would be to book with the hotel independently as they seemed to be offering some real value for money deals themselves. « less
