Nestled along the beautiful Deschutes River, in the heart of Bend, the 220 room Riverhouse Resort and Convention Center is simply Bend's finest.
Our meeting and banquet facilities include 20 different and very flexible event rooms. The highlight of our facility is not only its size and state-of-the-art technology, but also the spectacular river view decks and outside function areas. The 16,000 square foot ballroom is the largest in Central Oregon and can accommodate 1300 people for a sit-down meal as well as be divided into ten different meeting rooms. We arrived late and stopped in. The desk staff was very friendly and the price was as advertised on AAA. The whole property is CLEAN and well kept. The smell from the surrounding woods was very delightful and made the venue feel just like you're deep in the woods. Our room too was CLEAN and FRESH. It had a patio that overlooked the wooded middle. If you can't tell by now we were very pleased. It only got better after a hiccup. The a/c in our room was blowing heat. The manager tried multiple times and thought it was fixed. Later it acted up again and we shut it off. To cool the room off we opened the patio door and let the cool night in. When we checked out the same manager asked about the a/c. We explained it still wasn't working and proceeded to pay our bill. Without nary a word he voided he bill and comped the whole charge. Now that is service - Doing the right thing the first time!
We definitely recommend Riverhouse and will stay here again. « less

The Riverhouse was a perfect getaway after an active weekend. My boyfriend and I stayed after attending our Master's Swim meet at the local aquatic center. After 3 days of tough competition, we were very excited for some quality R & R. The check in process was smooth and we were very excited to receive complimentary drink tickets at the hotel lounge. After enjoying the tranquil view from our suite, we found the bartender helpful in quenching our thirst. Our room was quiet and comfortable. Our only wish is that the hotel is in walking distance to downtown. The continental breakfast was more than adequate. Fresh fruit, hot oatmeal station, tasty potatoes and continuous coffee was a great start to the morning. Since it's not your typical continental breakfast located adjacent to a busy lobby, we didn't feel it was appropriate to stroll in wearing our sweats or PJs. It does make the breakfast scene feel classier when you spruce yourself up a little and have the option to order a mimosa or bloody mary. Although our stay was pretty short, it definitely met our goal for rejuvenation. « less

Breakfast: is the best we have ever had in our stays at hotels and motels that provide it for guests. A big selection of fruit, melons, strawberries, blueberries, apples, oranges, bananas, pineapple. Several kinds of prepared eggs, cereals, yogart, waffles or pancakes. Several kinds of juice, decaf or regular coffee, and bananas, apples, oranges. Bagels, toast, muffins. « less

April 6, '13, my husband and I attended a Central Oregon Flyfishers annual banquet at The Riverhouse Convention Center. The building is beautiful with wonderful pictures of old Bend on the hallway walls. The dinner, however, was disappointing. The two of us selected the sirloin steak, instead of chicken, for our meal. My friend beside me chose the chicken and was pleased. Neither of our steaks was satisfactory, however. Both were overcooked and as a result, tough not only to chew, but even to cut. The salad, vegetables, and rolls were passable. Then, I learned that the bar tender, who had put a tip jar on the his serving table, was well compensated by COF. If that was true, and I have no reason to suspect that it wasn't, he should be ashamed. At least the wine choice was good. Though this convention center is the largest such facility in Bend, we shall encourage COF to have the annual banquet in another location. « less
