The walkways were about the only downer. Dirty with lots of baked gum. A good power wash would greatly help. You will need to drive if you are going value.downtown, but access very easy to the downtown area. The Riverwalk areas are frenetic, and I was glad we didn't stay there. There is a bus route about a ten minute walk away, but the area doesn't look the safest for walking there. This is a marvelous value if you are going to drive around the city anyway. There were not a lot of people here. They are missing out. « less

We had a great stay at this hotel. Both of the men that we dealt with on the desk were very helpful. We arrived a little early for checkin but our room was immediately readied for us. The young man on the desk offered very good advice on what to see in downtown San Antonio, how to get there, and where to park. When I asked for a late checkout the next day so that we could leave our dog in the room while going down to see the Alamo, that was no problem. Also, when I left a pair of jeans in the room, the staff immediately tried to track me down. We had already realized that they were left and when we returned the jeans were waiting for us at the front desk. A very good trip and very hospitable staff! « less
