I recently spent 3 weeks in Wichita on business, and stayed at this hotel the whole time. The staff were most friendly and helpful, the hotel was clean, and the hotel restaurant (Legends) had amazing food and breakfast/lunch buffets. A special 'shout out' to Wanda in the Aviators' Lounge, who was ever cheerful, and greeted everyone with a smile. The hotel was situated just a short drive from amenities. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. « less

Although they are going through a remodel (at least at the time I was staying), it was still a nice place. The staff was friendly and much to my surprise, the restaurant attached to the hotel was actually decent. I usually have a phobia against hotel restaurants, for good reason, but was pleasantly surprised with this one. Good specials, decent food - all at a reasonable price. But the best part, having a 6:30 AM flight and simply having to walk across the parking lot. No hassles (unless the weather stinks, but even then they have a shuttle that runs over pretty much on demand). If you have to go to Wichita on business, I don't think you can do much better than this hotel. « less

For us the primary attraction of this hotel was its location right on Wichita’s Mid-Continent Airport, meaning we could simply walk across the street to the hotel for our overnight stay.
Check-in was fast & friendly, room was large & comfortable. All the usual amenities were available including Wi-Fi, a large and well-equipped exercise room and an indoor pool. Room price was reasonable, $130 including taxes, etc.
This is primarily a “business” hotel and features several meeting rooms of various sizes, including a dedicated media/theater room.
Unless you have ground transportation you will eat in the hotel. I would presume the typical business traveler, being on an expense account, isn’t particularly sensitive to the cost issue when it comes to meals. Since we were traveling on our own nickel we found dinner in the on-site restaurant to be rather pricy, although excellent in terms of service, selection & food quality. Also missing was the now almost standard free breakfast, adding another $20 or so to the stay.
All in all we had an excellent stay and if Mid-Continent Airport is a convenient stop in your travels by all means stay at this Doubletree. « less

The staff were helpful to provide directions to nearby attractions, and checkin was easy and efficient. They welcomed my Hilton Honors account at check in, and they were very kind. Overall, this hotel receives 5 stars from me. I would stay here again, should the need arise. « less
