Stayed at this hotel over a long weekend. Easy to get to from the train station, and very centrally located. Staff were pleasant, room was clean and comfortable. Did not eat at the hotel, but why would I when there are so many options in the city? Take the time to ask the staff where they recommend you go for lunch or dinner. Food in the market square tends to be overprised for the value, so seek the more authentic places around the city. Brugges is defnitely great for pedestrians. « less

Stayed at this hotel May Bank Holiday, perfect location and in a great City. Staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The bar is great and is ideal for sitting in doors or outside. Hotel is more dated than other Crowne Plaza hotels I have stayed in, however fits in perfectly with the Brugge's medieval setting. Absolutely would stay again! « less

Could get a better location as previous posters have commented. We had a spacious room with two king-sized beds, tons of pillows, tea/coffee, minibar etc. Loads of restaurants and bars but with the current exchange rate it's rather pricey - 23 euros for breakast at the hotel, can get a full English if that's your preference elsewhere for half the price. Swimming pool on 8th floor is rather small. Underground car park was around 16 euros.
Confession time, I had cashed in my Priority Club points for two nights here, so perhaps am not as critical as I might be if I'd paid £200 a night!!
An absolute must in Bruges is to take the 30 mins canal trip for 7.6 euros, which gives you the best views of the stunning buildings, and also helps get your bearings and decide which bits you want to revisit. Lots of horse drawn traps to take a ride around in, about 50 euros I believe.
This was our second visit to Bruges and still so much more to see. It has to be one of the most picturesque and hassle free cities for getting around in Europe. « less

Just off a small square, which itself is just off the main square in thd centre of Bruges - so the location is impossible to beat as you can walk everywhere
It's a chain hotel, so don't expect it to be overflowing with charm but even so it is a well-run and comfortable, with a good size room.
Large bed, 2 armchairs, TV with international channels, mini bar, decent bathroom and free wifi throughout - a real plus in this type of establishment, which often charge rip off prices for internet
One odd thing is the actual toilet is in a tiny cubby hole off the bathroom, behind a swing door. You would not want to be a larger person or you'd struggle to get in!!
Didn't eat breakfast here, a rip off at €23 pp, just wandered the streets and found a local cafe where you could get a nice breakfast for €5-10
That aside, the hotel has much to recommend it. Paid €160/night through booking.com at the last minute
Bruges is a beautiful town, nice lazy days wandering the cobblestone streets & canals - a romantic place shared with umpteen other tourists of similar persuasions! « less
