The Hotel was alright, we stayed there while visiting the area for work-related business. The location is fine - a brilliant cafe on the opposite side of road. A short walk to get to Starbucks. Decor of Hotel was suprisingly nice for the price we paid. Only problem was our air-con didn't work and the staff ignored us when we asked for help. Someone would come to look and press some buttons, but it did not help. It was clearly broken.
If you plan to stay here, check the air con out before you unpack. We should just have kicked up a fuss and asked to change rooms. « less

We stayed there for the Canton Fair (spring 2012). We booked this hotel because of other reviews from other travellers (especially the review that was saying they were the best beds in China... that review was true and this is one of the main reason why I would be back there... I slept very well)!
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. A bit far away from Pazhou complex but with the subway (walking distance), it is quite easy.
It is a well priced hotel with soft (yes soft) beds. The room is nice, modernly renoveted with a fridge and cooking plate. The only problem was the mosquitoes in the room. We used to wake up with a new bite every day! Free Wi-Fi was very slow too in our room.
I would recommend this place to business travellers looking for a well priced, comfortable room in Guangzhou. « less

We stayed in this hotel in Nov 2012, After we arrived and checked we went to our room and noticed that it seemed a little smaller then the photos on the internet and our kingsize bed was smaller then a queen size, I then approched the reception staff who seemed a angry that i was complaining about the room not being what we booked (They never said sorry about the mistake or anything to that effect), i was then told in a stern voice if you like the kingsize bed room you can have it. After we moved to our correct room we found the upkeep was non existant and combined with poor initial build quality. The hotel isnt in a good location if you dont speak chinese. As we found it very hard to get a proper meal locally and having any idea of what we were ordering. We asked the reception staff where we can go where they either have english menus or speak english and the only place was a horrible western style restaurant that was way overpriced. « less

What a pity that in such a chic hotel, the staff never clean the bathroom floor (where people stand to shower). Very dirty. If they brushed it, it would be much cleaner than this. You can see in my picture. Other than that, the room has a very good value. I had a free upgrade so this room is spacious, clean & comfortable. About 15 minutes slow walk to the nearest subway station. I arrived late at night. The subway doesn't work that late. I took Airport Bus Line 1 for 17 RMB to the last station near main railway station. Took a local vehicle (no meter) for 10 RMB to Q-City Hotel. Easy to find local restaurants around the hotel. Free & good wifi at lobby. No wifi in room. « less

Q-city hotel Is a business hotel, nice to those coming to the city and looking for inexpensive hotel in the city center,we were 3 person sharing a suite with two bedrooms, beds are very comfortable, design is very minimalist, the room was pretty clean, hot water shower, enough for twenty minutes, then you have to wait until the water heat up again, the living room is not comfortable , had a small sofa and few chairs , and in the kitchenette there is nothing except a sink and small refrigerator...Wi-Fi is availble only in the lobby, the room has wired internet only. the hotel is located on the main road, so you easily can get a taxi anywhere in the city, the distance from the airport is about 40 minutes., the hotel is secure, you can enter hotel floor only with a room key and at night there is a guard in the lobby, breakfast can be eaten within a few meters, at Cafe/ bakery that belongs to Shino hotel, next to the hotel you can find 7-11 with very poor selection of products.
opposite the hotel ther is a nice Japanese restaurant , so If you're coming to Guaanzhou and the hotel's location is right for you, this hotel is pretty good option « less
