We were told that the indoor pool was working. When we looked in, it was dirty, and didnt look to be in any working order, at least not ready to use. That wasnt such a problem because we had an early flight to California to ours SONS WEDDING, and decided to get some shut eye before getting up for our flight. We went to the front desk and asked the clerk for a wake up call. She assured us that they would call at the time we requested. We told them that we needed a shuttle to the airport No problem we were told. Thats the reason we stayed here, because it was so conveniently located close to the airport. We did get our wake up call. As we were strolling into the lobby, we asked about our shuttle ride. A couple with 3 kids said we have been waiting and the desk clerk said there is no one to give the ride. I asked how long they had been waiting and they said over half an hour. We talked to the desk clerk that said that he tried to call someone, and that someone would be on the way. We waited another 25 minutes and it was just wasting time. We called a cab and waited about 20 minutes, and still no one had showed up. If we would have depended on the Country Inn shuttle as we were told we would get, we would have never got to the airport. This is a big disappointment. We stay at the Ft Worth Country Inn and Suite and always have a great time there. Before calling the taxi, my husband asked the desk clerk that we are very disappointed in this happening, and he said he called the manager and said that the general manager would be told about this. Well no one has called us or contacted us. You can look around and see there are nicer hotels nearby. I for sure will be telling anyone and everyone I know about this. I will not recommend this place to anyone.**NOTE There should be a back up driver in case something happens to the other. Country Inn (Airport South) should not offer something it does not stand up to. « less

The front desk staff is very courteous. The room, while spartan, was clean. The in room refridgerator did not work and had to be replaced. Hot water was hit or miss. On day one of my stay there seemed to be two temperatures - ice and scalding. On day two, the choice was ice or tepid. The "breakfast" may or may not exist. During my stay, on two of two days the hotel ran out of food thirty minutes prior to the end of the breakfast period. The excuse provided on the second day was that the can opener could not be found. The room price is lower than many surrounding properties, but it is commensurate with the product provided. « less

This hotel was reccommended to me by a business associate. I was picked up by the shuttle and 10 minutes later arrived at the hotel. The desk clerk greeted me warmly and had my suite key and paper work ready for me. Gave me directions to the elevator and assured me to just call if I needed anything. (fresh baked cookies at desk). I got to my suite and was surprised to find 2 large flat screen tvs. All was good till it was time to sleep. Taveling 35 weeks a year from the Ritz to Holiday Inn I've seen it all. Without a doubt the bed was heaven. 6 over stuffed pillows and the comfort was over the top. Best sleep ever. There was a thank you note on my nite stand for staying with them,, nice touch.
In the morning went down for my complimently breakfast and pleased with what was offered and the hostess couldn't do enough to try to please me. Great attitude and smile.
This hotel is a wonderful place to visit and the staff treats you like family. A great bargain. « less

Hotel looks old and I don't know if there's a new owner, but they need to pay attention. There are so many hotels close by and there's competition. I agree with other reviewers. I've stayed at other Country Inn and this one needs some TLC. « less
