Overall our experience at Novotel was fine. You cannot beat the location, close to everything...However, there were a few factors we were dissapointed with:1) Television channels missing...On our counter we had a index with all the channels that we would receive. We checked and six were missing...We told reception and they said that the list was outdated. The television overall was not in great condition, some channels not clear. 2)Temperature hard to adjust in room. 3) Rough bath and hand towels. 4) With the price for the accomodation a continental breakfast included would of been nice. Otherwise excellent and comfortable bed and nice and very quiet room . Staff was very nice. « less

Hotel was close to my business meeting, so convenient. Rooms and were clean, gym was clean and staff were friendly and welcoming. There was not charge for internet access. I would use this hotel again, even though the rate was a bit higher than staying downtown, and I asked for foam pillows and did not receive them. « less

Was in Toronto to run the Goodlife Half Marathon. Realized I had booked for the evening AFTER the race instead of before. Oops! The check-in person couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. She corrected my error even provided us with an upgrade to an Executive room. Nice! After the race, we asked if we could extend our check-out time and were given an extension to 3PM. Much appreciated. We enjoyed our stay there very much. « less

Marathon weekend brings such a great buzz to the area, it's one of my favorite times in North York. The start line is only 200 yards from us, so we are the ideal pre / post night location plus we extend a free 3pm late check out to all athletes. The hotel is a little dated, but the rooms still look decent. The staff was very friendly and the location was great. The hotel is attached to an underground walk which goes to the subway as well as the LCBO and grocery store across Young. There is a food court in the bowels of the hotel/mall to grab a quick bite to eat. « less

Thanks for your feedback, and I accept your observations, Soon we will begin a refurb of the hotel, however at the minute it is really important we maintain the high standards of service and cleanliness we have set for our selves. We need to be recognised as the hotel of choice in the North York area. Haven't mentioned before the new food court that opened last month, very modern and great choice, plus Cineplex is moving in next door to us. Location, location, location!! Regards, Michael.

What I liked most about this hotel: * The GREAT customer service - including hotel desk and restaurant. Every staff encounter was positive.
Also liked about hotel * Well located - easy access to subway - don't even have to go outside if the weather is bad. Theres a performing arts centre and a library also attached to the mall * Clean * Good room size * Free internet * Comfortable beds * The restaurant meal was very good
Once complaint: * Temperature control wasn't great. In the end I would turn it off when it got to warm and turn it back on when it got to cool « less

Great feedback, given me lots to think about. Firstly thank you for recognising the efforts we are making in Guest Service..... so important.. I've said it before, it doesn't matter what your role is in the hotel we all have the same job... "make the guest happy"!! Heating and cooling, same thing every year!! Just for a few days we struggle to get the balance right as the outdoor temperature fluctuates so much. Now the a/c is working well and room temperatures are very comfortable. Regards, Michael.
