Staff super friendly, food tasty, great selection of real ales all served up in the picturesque village of Cobham.
To quote Dickens "it was the best of times" when we arrived "it was the worst of times" when we had to leave.

Rooms warm and clean. Could do with modernising a wee bit. Pub serves great selection of beers and wine. Nice local feel and staff very friendly and helpful. 2 other pubs in village but not a patch on the leather bottle. Menu in restaurant probably a bit ambitious as offering too much. Suggesion would be to have half a dozen items for each course, three of which are the daily specials. The vegetables were overcooked unfortunately which is quite a common mistake in pubs. « less

This is a lovely old traditional hotel, restaurant and bar. Chose the location as it is opposite the beautiful church where my parents are buried in the graveyard. Food was unbelievably good - wonderful steak, room was a bit basic but very comfortable. Only criticism was that there was no hot water from the sink tap and the shower was more of a dribble than a shower! « less

I stayed with a mate at the Leather Bottle in August, our main reason for booking at the Leather Bottle was that it isn't to far from the Brands Hatch circuit and that it's has a nice pub with plenty of parkingspace for a van and trailer. We were not dissapointed in any of the above. The staff of the LB is friendly and because we had to leave early in the morning they prepaired a breakfast of take away breadrolls (plenty of fillings to chose from) The room we stayed in (front room located opposite to village church) had loads of character, but it might be a bit to much character if you want to stay with you girlfriend for a romantic weekend. The windowcurtains need replacing as they are to small to seal the windows properly The pub serves a nice selections of ales, the beer garden is spacious and busy. (we did not test the food as we went to Chatham for a curry instead) There are two more pubs in the village so you can even do a pub crawl. « less
