This is a fantastic, well located business hotel with everything you'd want while working hard (and playing late) in the city. The staff really makes your stay they are prompt in assistance and helpful in every need. Their warm attitude is infectious and not only do you get a comfortable, spacious, well - appointed room with incredible views (yes 10th floor!!!) you are at ease and smiling your whole stay. I couldn't be happier with the stay and am beyond impressed at the well run team! « less

We only stayed here one night as we were en-route somewhere else (Brooklyn, sadly) and I was really disappointed we weren't able to stay longer. If we were to come back, we will definitely stay here - great value for money. The rooms are a good size, clean, good amenities, and floor to ceiling windows with an a-m-a-z-i-n-g view of Manhattan. We were on the 6th/7th floor and were absolutely delighted. The hotel is in a great location - only a 5 minute walk from the subway.
The only downside is the breakfast. I did mention this to the Manager - who is a lovely, friendly guy - who told me the catering is outsourced (not hard to tell!). Don't waste your precious holiday time down there as the breakfast is definitely not worth $10! I see from the reviews that things haven't changed much - although I think someone mentioned continental breakfast for $10 (when we were there, the breakfast included in the room rate was $10 (for non-guests) and was terrible and the rest were $15 (i.e. $5 surcharge for guests) so maybe the prices have been reduced). Just awful! I have since discovered that breakfast in NY hotels is not usually included.
Will definitely come back if we get the opportunity. Thank you to all the staff for making our little stay so comfortable. By far one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. « less

My husband and I are just back from spending 7 nights at this hotel. At a really good price we weren't sure what to expect but having read many reviews knew that the hotel couldn't be bad. Our room was on the 7th floor directly opposite the lift, being a very light sleeper this worried me at first..until we opened our room door and saw the spectacular view of the Empire State building all lit up. The room was a really good size and had a nice big bathroom, it was the perfect size for a week in NY. I needn't have worried about noise as we were up high enough that there was no noise from the street and i never heard any noise at all from the lift or other people. The staff at the hotel were all very friendly and dealt with all of our questions quickly. There's a subway station around the corner which is great for those who don't fancy walking too much but we were happy to walk everywhere so only used this a few times, and there are lots of restaurants in teh area so plenty to choose from.
All in all it was a great hotel, I would defiantely stay here again and would highly recommend this to other travellers. « less

I stayed three nights at this hotel in April 2013, soon after its opening. Every other hotel on Manhattan seemed to be charging upwards of $300 per night for the weekend I wanted, so I was relieved to get a good deal at Wyndham at around $200 per night (pretty much the cheapest room downtown with its own bathroom that I could find). For some reason I didn't like the first room they gave me opposite the elevators (I was wary of elevator noise, and the room felt like it had bad feng shui); I asked if other rooms were available and they promptly moved me to a large room away from the elevators facing Bowery. Everything about the room was great – comfy bed, spacious desk, nice bathroom and I loved people watching through the floor-to-ceiling window onto Bowery – except for the street noise. But hey, it's New York, and it's Chinatown, no less – so what could I expect? Pros: Staff were very friendly and accommodating – everyone from the doorman and reception staff to the cleaning staff were lovely. Rooms were clean and well maintained. Decent coffee making facilities in-room (Wolfgang Puck pods get the thumbs-up). For tourists, the location near Soho and the Lower East Side is fantastic. Good cheap eats in Chinatown (try Nam Son or Congee Village). Cons: Noisy Bowery and stanky Chinatown... it's a love-hate relationship. All in all, I would stay here again, especially if they continue to offer such great rates. « less
