The only drawback I had was the Life-flight helo landing in the very early hours of the morning...no reflection on the hotel...as the hospital is directly across the street. I was greeted by Casey upon arrival and each morning before breakfast. She was most helpful with directions and suggestions of the area...A+ to Casey! « less

On a weekend where East Carolina had obviously overscheduled events and a room was impossible to find, this HI Express managed it better than I would have expected. Customer service was exceptional at all levels-front desk, breakfast, housekeeping. I even had an exceptional night's sleep in a very full hotel. Priority Club (Holiday Inns and it's family) is my least favorite hotel affinity club, so I generally stay at other chains because of their frequent guest treatment. But this hotel treated Everyone I saw with care and respect and treated us all like Platinum members. If this hotel were in charge of HI training, I'd be staying at HI much more often. Thanks for a great job. « less

We were booked at a different hotel across the street for a college tour at ECU. There were many events happening this same weekend and all hotels were booked. The place we booked was disgusting. We drove across the street to the Holiday Inn Express and luckily they had a couple of rooms that their reservations had been canceled.
The front desk staff was extremely friendly and very helpful when we asked if we could get a rollaway for our son. Turns out all the new king rooms on the third floor had brand new pullout couches and we would not need a rollaway.
We were so thankful that they had a room open. When we checked in and went to our room, everything was brand new and very clean. We were very comfortable « less
