"Weekend getaway"

Husband and I looking for weekend getaway with a trip to the new casino "Rocksino". This hotel was close enough to the venue, had a pool, breakfast included and the price was right. Booked a King room, and when hubby arrived asked about a suite (my request), which they kindly provided. This was the biggest suite (King) I have ever seen. It's like two of Embassy Suites rooms combined and was perfectly clean, and had a wet bar with coffee, fridge and microwave. The room was divided by French doors from the bedroom. There was a vestibule with mirrored closet doors and the bathroom had everything we needed and some we didn't know we did. I'm talking toothbrushes, razor, shave cream toothpaste as well as the usual shampoo, lotion, etc. We spent some time at the casino, returned to the hotel to use the pool (huge) and hot tub. We were the only ones there and enjoyed all the amenities including the sauna. Yes, a sauna. The exercise area was also just through the door, but we didn't use. It also was very large. Breakfast was in the dining room and consisted of eggs, sausage/bacon, cereal, oatmeal, Danish, yogurt, fruit, toast/breads and was serviced by the most efficient staff I've ever seen. Coffee was hot and plentiful. Don't recommend the juice as it was one of those dispensers that combines the juice concentrate with water and was thin. Had plenty of other choices such as chocolate milk, reg milk, and coffee. On the way out they have "to go" cups for coffee, cream and sugar. I always like one to go after a good breakfast. There was a sports bar in the facility which we did visit on the first night. Food there was just ok. Husband ordered a sub which reminded me of fried bologna on a bun. There were not a lot of other options for food in the area, but we were tempted to try the prime rib all you can eat in the dining room on Saturdays. It's 19.99 and we regret picking up a pizza on the way home from casino instead. Overall it was very pleasant as all staff were very helpful, especially in the dining room. This place is perfect for large groups and families. They might love the pool and gameroom too. Seemed like lots to do to keep everyone busy and it's very clean.

Come Check Out or RENOVATIONS at the Clarion Inn Hudson which is located conveniently between Akron and Cleveland Ohio near the beautiful setting of Ohio's Cuyahoga Valley National Park, a perfect location to explore or picnic. The Hotel is also the perfect location for your event or group needs, the hotel is 20 minutes from Geauga Lake Wild Water Kingdom and surrounded by shopping. This Hotel has 234 guest rooms and two roomy two-room suite situated on two floors, BRAND NEW ELEVATOR, and 10 rooms are ADA compliant on the first level. The Hotel has the areas largest indoor pool with a whirlpool and fitness room, (2) game rooms, guest laundry area, dry cleaning services are available same day return, business center with complimentary high-speed internet wireless connection. The Junction Valley Restaurant located in the main lobby serves breakfast and dinner is available from 5:30 am – 9:30am weekday, 6:00am - 10:00am weekend also offers room service until 10:00pm. Join the fun in Cruisers Bar & Grill Monday – Thursday for Happy Hour 5pm – 7 pm, DJ and scheduled live entertainment on Friday and Saturday. The Hotel has a large convention center featuring 14 meeting and function rooms with 15,000 square feet total, the perfect destination for your next meeting. We can accommodate banquets up to 350 people and have the areas only amphitheater meeting room which can accommodate up to 70 people. We have ample parking perfect for bus or RV parking. We are a Pet Friendly hotel and only require a $10 per day fee and no deposit. We also have a limited amount of Smoking Rooms for an additional $10.00 per night. We welcome all groups and take pride on our excellent customer service and hospitality. There are also room with Microwaves and Refrigerators which are on a first come bases price will vary based on room type.
