The service at RiverPlace is personal and prompt, as well friendly. For me, service is everything, and this hotel has that. But, it's also clean, well maintained, and convenient to just about anything you want to do in Portland.
I've stayed in several different rooms at this hotel and have found all of them to be comfortable and clean. I sleep well there. My showers have lots of hot water with good pressure. There aren't any smelly cleaning products or perfumes used in the rooms. A solid internet connection was appreciated any time I wanted it. And I love their honor bar. « less

This is a nice, updated and very comfortable hotel. I like the location, as it is close to downtown, but away from it too. Limited number of rooms and kind of a weird set up. Parking is a little odd unless you valet. The restaurant and bar were very good, to even excellent. I like the bar, but it is pretty sedate. « less

My recent stay with RiverPlace (May 5-9) was a very pleasant experience. The hotel service is extremely friendly and accommodating. We arrived on my birthday, and there was a nice bottle of wine and chocolates in my room to greet us. The room was very comfortable and clean, with room to stretch out a bit over our 4-day stay. The staff always offered to help, whether with directions or restaurant suggestions. I would certainly stay there again. « less

My husband and I stayed in a river view king room. We loved the scenery and the bed was comfortable. I felt the bathroom was small and, I know this sounds weird, but the toilet paper holder placed in a very inconvenient location. We ate room service for breakfast (ever so average) and dinner (quite good). The staff was overall very engaging and tried hard to meet our requests promptly. We usually stay at the The Heathman, but enjoyed this scenic change. « less
