After reading reviews online about construction and condition of hotel I was a bit nervous about my stay. I was at hotel this past weekend April 11-12th. The hotel is being renovated. Here is what I observed. The lobby has been completed and is very nice. The restaurant was closed. The rooms on the 3rd and 4th floors were being renovated. The rooms on the 1st and 2nd floors have not been renovated yet. My room was on the 2nd floor and it was clean, with comfortable beds, 2 pillows for each person and flat screen TV. The furniture, bed spreads and blinds were worn but clean. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and welcoming. The complimentary breakfast was ok. Coffee was not good and not hot. All and all we had a good night sleep and the price was great. I will definitely stay at the Clarion again and look forward to seeing all the renovations. « less

The Clarion is a thief!!!! My wife and I originally made a four night reservation, after staying the first night we decided to find another hotel, so my wife checked us out before noon the next day. When she went to the front desk the attendant asked for our room keys and then said we were good to go never giving my wife a receipt. They said they would e-mail it to me. The attendant never checked us out so now we have been charged for three nights that we didn’t stay at the hotel and they said they will not give us our money back. What ever you do stay away from the thieves at the Clarion of Greensboro!!!!!!! « less

This hotel is a mixed bag. On the plus side, it's got a nice lobby and is fairly quiet. On the minus side, the rooms are overdue for renovation, the beds are uncomfortable, the workout room in minimal, and the hallways smell like smoke. Wifi worked well. There is no free breakfast, but there is a restaurant attached to the property. It is about 5-6 miles from the airport. Overall not a good hotel. It is more along the lines of an upper-scale motel, but without the amenities such motels usually throw in. It is not worth coming back to. « less

We were here for a business expo and we were quite horrified with what we walked into. The walls in the lobby were stripped and we could see questionable pencil drawings all along them. Now, the hotel is supposed to be undergoing renovations in the hallways, but if you get to your room you will find that they need renovations, too. Furniture is pretty old and falling apart, and cracks are in the bathroom sinks. Food and staff at Legend's lounge were pretty decent, though. I say if you are in for just one night and not a business trip, feel free to stay here. If not, look elsewhere until they are completely renovated! « less

I stayed here for one night never again. My room smelled like mildew, the headboard was falling off, the sheets wouldn't stay on the bed, the faucet wasn't on in the bathroom, it was NOT even close to the pictures they use to draw in customers. I did however have excellent service from the hotel manager and young bartender I was less then happy about my meal. My food was horrible. The place was unorganized and must be going through renovations (they should be closed until completed) They had missing ceiling tiles from leaks and someone just rigged a tray up there, once it was full it dripped over onto the bar and bartender. They were short staffed. In the bathroom the only thing I can see helping is a grenade. I don't know what is worse between the horrid smell of rotting cabbage and eggs, or the poor lighting. Which is what I feel like they are wanting their customers to do. I feel bad for the good people that have to work in that kind of environment. I wont risk my health to go back. My suggestion knock it down and start over. « less
