My wife and I decided to enjoy a weekend in Winchester away from our daughter. We were disappointed that we couldn't get a room at The Washington in Old Town Winchester. We decided to stay here based on the reviews we read. I called ahead and asked for a room away from the noise so my wife and I could enjoy a couple mornings sleeping in like teenagers (of course we couldn't sleep past 9, but we'll take it over our daughter's early mornings). When we arrived we were greeted warmly and everything was ready to go. The whole process took 2 minutes and that was because the wonderful lady at check in wanted to tell us all of the features. The room was clean and at the very end of the hotel as requested. The first evening, I went to the snack bar to get a drink and late night snack, but when I went to pay, I found a sign that said they were gone momentarily assisting another guest. I waited a couple of minutes and when the staff member returned, he felt bad for making me wait so he said the items were on the house. My wife and I also enjoyed the pool and my wife the fitness area. All were more then adequate. Minor things for them to improve on: 1. My wife would have loved a hot tub. 2. The pillows were square and looked like throw pillows. I would have preferred large pillows. 3. The fitness room only had 1 treadmill and if I was to use it with my wife as planned, that would have been an issue. Overall a great experience. I would recommend the hotel « less

We stayed in the Holiday Inn in Winchester for an overnight on the way home. It was very clean well appointed. Check in was a breeze. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Beds were comfortable and cozy. We ate dinner and breakfast in the hotel restaurant. Food was good, kids ate for free. We swam in the small indoor pool in the evening, water was warm and pool was clean. Had a very pleasant stay, thank you! « less
