My wife and I stayed one night on our way to a party in Irvine, about 100 miles south. As soon as we opened the door to our suite I was wowed by the amount of room and condition of the decor. The kitchen was more than ample, though we didn't need to make use of it.
This hotel is made up of a number of two-story buildings (ours was numbered 25) with eight suites in each one. Sort of like wooden cottages. Though there were other guests staying nearby, we never were bothered by noise or cooking odors.
The breakfast bar in the main building was about as good as it gets for on-the-road freebies, with lots of selection and a huge, clean dining area.
Although Oxnard itself didn't seem very attractive to us, this was a pleasant place and suited our needs perfectly for an overnight stay. The Residence Inn brand is well represented here. « less

We stayed 4 nights and we were just delighted with the hotel, services and amenities. Golf was right outside our door on two fantastic courses with amazing views and low green fees. The full kitchen (granite counters, full-size fridge, cooktop and nice little dining table) was much better than expected and great for eating-in on a couple nights after a golf round. We went to nearby Costco for a couple of 'ready to heat up' meals. We are sorry we didn't take advantage of complimentary dinner option until our last night ... It was an impressive spread of big BBQ burgers or hot dogs with fresh fixings, salad, home-made chips and wine/beer. Crazy value (free! - how do they do it?), delicious food and lovely, large comfortable dining room/ lounge area or outside patio. Breakfast was equally good. On-site laundry facility was handy. Hot tub and pool areas looked great (3 different ones and one under construction). Tennis courts just re-surfaced. Bed and pillows very comfy. This is a big complex, and we were happy things were so spread out for more space and privacy even though it was a longer hike to/from parking lot to load and unload the car. More of a resort atmosphere than a hotel in an attractive residential area of town. We could not believe the value. Highly recommended. « less

I love the homey feeling of being on the road but able to eat in. I found a Trader joes, bought a salad and a bottle of wine and had a quiet night in. I didn't take advantage of the breakfast but love that I could have. It was a nice setting, but not on the beach, but rather on a golf course. I would stay here again. « less

Kitchen was nice with full fridge. Ample parking. There was some constuction at a pool going on during the stay, but noise was limited and only after 9am. Breakfast had a great selection of eggs, patties, potatoes, sausage links, cereals, really good oranges, apples, bananas,... The location is slighly away from 101 - and that is part of the reason why it extremely quiet here. Front desk was freindly. Would definitely come back here. « less
