We stayed one night at this hotel and we were very pleased with the service. The rooms are slightly dated but clean. We appreciated that our rate included a full grill breakfast. This hotel is a carbide away from the strip, about $20 cab fare. This was still cheaper than paying the inflated rate of one of the big hotels on the strip for a Saturday night. We would stay here again if we're visiting Vegas again without wanting to be just on the strip. The staff at the counter were very helpful and provided me with information on attractions and things to see in Vegas. « less

This is your pretty typical Embassy Suites. The breakfast was good and the happy hour is at a real bar, not some temporary structure in the middle of the atrium. We did have a extended balcony but unfortunately it didn't look like it had been washed off in a week or more. You had to wear shoes or your feet would be filthy.
My only real complaint is they advertise being close to the monorail system. it is a good 10 minute walk past areas that are a little rundown. Too far to hike if you are in more formal attire for dinner. The taxi service at peak times is nonexistent. They are all making runs on the strip or to the airport. Waited an hour and had 2 calls in for taxis that never came.
The good news is there are no casinos or smoking allowed. This does allow us nonsmokers to escape from smelling it at the hotel. This location is priced inexpensively on the weekend. For weeknight stays that will be less expensive towards the strip I would stay at one of the other suite style hotels that are nonsmoking and nongaming. I have found them to have a little more of the luxurious touches that Embassy Suites typcially don't. « less

There were a few low points in an overall good stay. First of all, this was not a property within safe or convenient walking distance of the convention center. Maybe in broad daylight if its not too crazy hot or cold, but I cabbed it everywhere. Note that the strip is also at least a 10 min cab ride, IF your cab even shows. The front desk called 3 services 5 different times while I waited in the lobby for 25 min. Next time, car service!! On the food side the room service, restaurant, and bar are all good options. Complimentary cocktail hour is a great way to start an evening. This is held on a third floor loft area which is very cool. I had a corner room on the top floor which had an eclectic view. Gross apartment complex adjoining but beyond that the lights of the Strip. Really a huge room. Bathroom and bedroom fine, with the exception of the dingy comforter that I removed from the bed. But what will ensure no future stays for me here were DUSTY WALLS. Literally, dust bunnies STUCK to the bedroom walls EVERYWHERE. I have never seen anything like it. And although I meant to talk to the manager about this and show some pics I took (because I don't like to "ambush" hotels using this site), I ran out of time so have to bring it up here. Because this hotel was responsive in every other aspect I have no doubt this will get addressed ASAP. There is a very small but nice outdoor whirlpool area with a few lounge chairs, and an indoor pool. Good workout facility. And I do love the atrium aspects of this chain which just makes everything feel open and spacious. Overall not one I'd return to unless the surrounding area cleans up a bit and this hotel gets a remodel. « less

We had fabulous service from the front desk and restaurant. Free cooked-to-order breakfast mornings and a "manager reception with food & booze in the afternoon.

I stayed five nights here on a business trip. I have stayed in a different hotel less than a mile north at a different time. I like the convenience of getting on the highway and getting away from the heavy traffic on the strip. I also like the ground level parking. So I don't need to go through the casino just to retrieve my rental car.
The one I stayed before was newer, but, this one has more room and better view. It allowed me to stretch if I don't want to go out. The front desk was friendly. The breakfast was very good. Although I don't drink. but, the H'orderves served during the happy hour can be improved. They are the same every night and became tasteless.
I will be back in June and I'll stay here again. « less
